Question here are we gonna see Ostertag play any Minutes next year? Cause if we aren't we rather just Trade him or Waive him. He's just wasteing a Roster spot anyways. unless Adleman admits he should play Ostertag next year which ( I doubt ).

Greg is in Adleman's dog house and it's clearly annoying when I don't see Greg have any playing time behind Miller.

There are definitely minutes to be had. Brian Skinner has a little bit of a injury history and right now Greg is the only other reserve center we have (unless you count Corliss :\). I think Greg could get regular playing time, but we'll have to wait and see what happens in the exhibition games as our earliest indicator of who'll get those minutes backing up Miller.

u want scot pollard back?

say....pollard for tag? its been 2 years for a kings hosing the pacers deal...bout time for another....

When was the last time you saw Pollard play? Because I saw him last season and he's not even as good as the Out Of Shape Ostertag we signed and occasionally used.

He's been injured and missed a lot of games, so you can't blame him for being out of shape. He might get back to form next year, but maybe not. Either way I don't want to bring him back. Time to look to the future, not the past.

Kev.in - foretaz is a Pacer fan. I'm pretty sure he's watched Pollard quite a bit.

This stuff about Ostertag being in Adelman's doghouse is old news, BTW. Greg admitted he was out of shape and also promised to come back in good shape this next season. He'll get minutes.

As far as waiving him goes, that would be nuts. He's in the final year of his contract; we'd have to pay his salary anyway if we waived him.

He might have some trade value as an ending contract, but he's probably worth the most to us if he comes back able to play and is able to give us at least 10-12 minutes a game.

Man i wouldn't waive or trade Greg. If hes working out as hard as he says he is, he could be real helpful to us this year, and if he wants another contract with anyone in the league i bet he plays pretty decent this year knowing hes a free agent next year.

Yes, I think these are reasons to keep Greg. We could get good things from him this year. However, if I am Geoff Petrie, I am all about talking to Rick Adelman to find out his intentions surrounding the use of Tag. If it is to be another year on the bench, then get something for him while you can.

Ah, then it makes sense. Ostertag for Pollard would be a pretty slick deal for the Pacers. The pace and defensive style that they play would be a good fit for Greg.
