Don't Make Me Use The Bat
It was right there, then we took out Reke at the same time they put in Nash, a dubious combination, and by the time Reke returned 3 minutes later it was over.
Beno/Nash:

Beno was not the windshield.
P.S. Let all those who before the season started had both JT and Greene out of the rotation by the 8th game of the season raise your hands. Liars.

Casspi ( C+ ) -- neither the best of games nor the worst of games, this night was prety much defined by Omri's shooting, which was..well neither the best nor the worst. But he shot them, and he shot them, and he shot them, and on a night when he was 4-11 from the field, he was 3-9 from the 3pt stripe. That's the role he has been shoehorned into, and his success as that shooter pretty much makes or breaks his grade. Was quiet in the early going, but hit a three late in the quarter from Reke, and poked away a ball when Nash fumbled it. Think it may have been his only first half hit as he Missed and missed some more in the 2nd quarter adn we wasted a lot of good looks. Starting knocking down the occasional shot in the third, but it was a decidedly mixed bag when he passed on the shot and drove toward the hoop. There were forces and turnovers, but also a nice dump off pass for a dunk. Thankfully there was no Beasley out there this time, and none of Phoenix's 13 SFs particulary hurt him.
Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateahaumaitawhitiurehaeaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokawhenuakitanatahu -- of course the notorious all time champion, a ridiculous name for a non-descript hill in New Zealand that roughly translates to "the summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his nose flute to his loved one".
Landry ( B+ ) -- hey we lost, our coach is destroying core parts of our chemistry and youth movement in some sort of bizarre attempt to emulate Captain Bligh, but there were some signifcant positives, not the least of which was that facing a team who's frontline might inspire chortles in high school, Carl responded appropriately and went right to work inside from the very beginning. He even consented to get back on the boards, althoguh the good and the bad of it is that they were mostly hustle boards on the offensive glass, including a few off his own misses -- on the other hand he has fewer defensive rebounds this season than Beno (20 to 24). Was not finishing inside in the third, but was getting to the line, where again he was shaky. Finaly stepped forward again in the 4th, and had some nice tough scores around the hoop showing patience and using pump fakes. As it was with Omri, had no challenges on the defensive end against the Suns' starters, but unlike Omri did get exposed later when the Suns brought ultra athletic Hakim Warrick into the game, and Dalembert was having to try to deal with him (and not very successfully) because Carl could not.
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch -- and if you are ever visiting jolly old England, amybe you can stop by this dinky little village. Just good luck asking directions. Note that this one is kind of a cheat: it was designed on purpse to be the longest name in England back in 1860 in what was basically a publicity stunt. Translated it means: "Saint Mary's Church in a hollow of white hazel near the swirling whirlpool of the church of Saint Tysilio with a red cave". Catchy.
Dalembert ( C+ ) -- the Suns are often a difficult matchup for true centers as they give them nobody to guard. Last night was no different. Daly started the game in amusing fashion, channeling Webber from back in the day and with nothing bigger to worry about than Robin Lopez showing off skills even he did not kow he had. Started with a wow galloping drive to the hoop all the way from the 3pt line for our first score, then got a piece of a JRich drive. Not to mention a nice drop off pass to Beno again, then why not a jumper. Something of everything early. Then he remembered who he was and it was back to turnovrs stumbling backward and missed jumpers. The problem was, so mysterious/disorganized is or offesne that we kept going to him for a while. Once that nonsesnse stopped, he settled in and was ok. He challenged a few things and after a slowish start on the glass began to chug them, but there was no dominance, and his impact felt less than in other games. Had problems with Warrick's quickness when forced to guard him in the 4th.
