anyone else missing kmart? defense or not...at least we'd have someone putting points on the board.

My beautiful fiance' said it best - WTF is PW doing?? Why doesnt he stick to what was working?
She wanna coach? I'm ready for the change.
Humilated? I want to blow my savings account buy season tickets right behind the Kings bench, call in subsitutions, call out plays and yell at players for missed defensive assignments.
"I like Carl on the floor a lot," Westphal said." I like him in the starting lineup. It's an opportunity (Saturday) because of a bad alarm clock to see what this looks like.”

"Once I got the ball, we were down," a somber Evans said of his club's futile, closing minutes against the Bulls. "It looked like I was supposed to make the play every time. I just tried my best to create and help people get open."

They really look like they don't know what to do out there, like they were just looking for someone to save them on offense.
JT played great, but he should not have to take that many jump shots. The rest of the team just flailed.
If i knew we'd have the frontcourt we have right now i wouldn't of made the trade.
I only saw this game from the 4th qtr, when the game was tied, around 8:30 left.
I took notes, observing the mistakes Kings players made, from the 7:45 mark when the Kings were up by 3 (I think 81-78).
These are observations of play, with minimal analysis or conclusions:
* Tyreke missed badly on a jumper, when it was contested. With his game, he cannot be shooting contested jumpers when there is time left on the clock.
* Tyreke made one of the stupider TO's I've seen on the break, ignoring Beno open ahead of him on the right side, another guy ahead of him on the left, then dribbled it inot 3 defenders before amazingly, inexplicably, pulling a nifty-looking behind-the-back-pass (?!) to the guy on the left and then charging right over Kyle Korver who had been planted there for a second waiting for him in the key.
* Donte had a terrible forced drive into multiple defenders that had NO chance of working - he even continued and shot the ball when near the ground, making it easier for Noah to block it.
* Beno took a good pull-up J that missed, then made a stupid foul leading to FT's for the Bulls.
* DMC made the horrendously-ugly TO when spinning at the foul line.
* JT looked away and lost Deng, took the wrong direction and got picked by Noah, which left Deng wide open for the 3.
* Tyreke walked the ball up repeatedly, dribbled, then passed the ball to Beno with 14 seconds left. This leads to fewer offensive opportunities or margin for error, and is a major problem with the offense.
* JT missed a shot, then DMC destroyed the Bulls in an offensive rebounding display, drawing 4 defenders to him leaving JT wide open for his only offensive RBD of the night, which he proceeded to not immediately put back up, but brought it down to his waist and dribbled it, and travelled for the TO.
* JT horribly defended Deng when he was handed a pass off to, which forced Beno to foul Deng.
* Tyreke shot a contested 27 ft 3 ptr that had no hope of going in. He has no business shooting those - in fact, any badly-chosen shot is almost a TO, since there's not much chance of the ball going in or the Kings getting the ball back.
JT shot 50% from the floor, which is just fine. Also, two of the those jumpers came as a result of guards passing him the ball with 3 ticks left on the clock. What was he suspossed to to with the ball? At least he had the where with all to shoot the damm thing instead of dribble it around looking for someone else to pass it to.
The problem isn't with our frontcourt. Its with our backcourt.
Which is why i said if i knew we'd have cousins and dalembert i wouldnt have traded martin.
I really don't know what happened to the shooting form that Tyreke supposedly worked on. If you look at all his mid range jumpers now they're all ugly fade away leg kicking things. You'd think that if someone wasn't even a good set shooter he wouldn't be trying to pull up and fade away off a crossover.
Martin was not going to work, and has carried the losing with him like a disease to a new town. I still have some feeling Landry could work as a 6th man, but woudl probably rather just move him to make way for an all titanic frontcourt with Hassan joining the active roster. Eitehr way we are beter off wiht his small ending contract than Kevin's big long term one.
True, although would you resign Landry if he asked for 7+ million?

Completely agree. Polar opposite of Beno's form, where he's more liening into his shot square and extended towards the rim. I don't think I've ever seen Udrih fade away, simply because he cuts to get open and quickly launches his jumper in one textbook fluid motion. It's been said a thousand times about Reke and his jump shot that if he ever develops one, he'll be unguardable. Unfortunately, he's a long way from getting "the shot", mainly due to poor form, inconsistent form, ragged shot selection, and fact that he'll probably never be a pure shooter from outside. The only hope is maybe 4-5 years from now he'll develop his outside shot the way another big All-Star PG did as his career went along - Chauncey Billups.
