George Karl: Offense, Practice and Team Philosophy

I read about the coby thing and I actually thought he might do that even before reading it because that seems to be the trend nowadays for a lot of coaches, setting their sons up with a future. But I want a couple top level guys with experience. Look at the Clippers with Frank and Woodson, Warriors with Gentry. We need to go all in.

Mention of Mitch Richmond as possible new assistant but retaining Kings current assistants it look like next year will be time of big revamp with Coby added coming back from Europe, etc.

In comparing the career histories of Doug Christie and George Karl, it appears as though Doug ALMOST played for him in Seattle in 1992. Christie was drafted by the Sonics in that year but because of contract difficulties, he never played for the Sonics. He was traded to the Lakers later that year.

Yeah, contract difficulties in that case being Doug was acting like a prima donna ass at that stage of his career and pulling a Steve Francis. :p

Dude, think about it. Everything going well means we make the right moves along the way of course. You start with this roster and you built from there. When and if everything goes well, there is a chance for 60 wins.

I tried thinking about it but all I could think about was the fact that the three stooges would still be in charge of player personnel.

I support the idea of Doug Christie as an assistant.....and then possibly a replacement head coach when Karl is done. Christie is knowledgeable, passionate, well-spoken, seems like he may have the it factor to lead, his Kings teammates loved the guy, if Kerr can make the jump to head coach, maybe Christie could be the future.

Hm, a Christie band wagon. ;) It would be nice if George had no son and needed and sightly older man as a trainee. The only warning: remember the wife! I would not be surprised if he has been approached for some position.
