At this point, I'm just wondering about tomorrows first pre-season game against Seattle and rookie 6'9" Kevin Durant who is apparently starting at 2 - shooting guard. (Univ of Texas listed him at 6'11" but Seattle says he's 6'9")

Of course, we had this same thread about a month ago with a poll included. He actually measured out at like 6'10.5 with shoes. I don't honestly see how that's going to work at all. Kevin should be able to get past dude all day.

I've split off the discussion of tomorrow's pre-season game into a new thread.

:)

Oh I see. Thanks.

I can't wait to see how Douby and JWill play. I think they're both going to be contributors for us. According to Amick Douby's been looking pretty good and we've already seen Justin play well before.

K. Durant has extremely long arms, kinda like Q. Douby freakish length. At UT he mostly played out on the wing, but basically played virtually every position, including point guard at times. The guy is cat quick, agile, and shoots sensationally well from the outside. I see no reason why he can't be outstanding at 2 in the NBA - but he's a rookie with a lot to learn. Ironically, it was his Longhorns who got a sweet 16 birth by eliminating Coach Theus' NMSU Aggies in last years NCAA tournament.

im just hopin i'll be able to watch the game from here ( MA ) .. i re orderd my league pass today on dish network.. if they dont carry it i'll find a way to watch it.

Quincy Douby DOES have extremely long arms:

I want to see JW, K-Mart, BMiller, MMoore, Douby, Watkins, and a few others get some PT.

I want to see JW start at PF, w/ Moore coming off the bench.

The latest I heard is Artest left practice today to have an MRI on his knee for some reason and thus may not play against Seattle. Also, Cisco twisted his foot in practice and is not likely to play. Thus, the bench will likely see LOTS of minutes which is what happens in pre-season anyway.

Crap, I wanted to see Cisco play! Hopefull he can get out there and play tomorrow. Definately looking forward to see Justin play! As well as Douby!

Durant's quick for a 4 or even a 3 but his lateral movement isn't great. His athleticism is also a bit overrated, check how he did at the combine. He's athletic and quick for a 4 or 3 but for a 2? Nah. No way he's able to guard the Kobes, Iversons, Wades, or even Martin. Too quick for him.

I haven't heard that. Link?

Sometimes people "HEAR" things, BMiller52. That means they don't have links because it hasn't been printed anywhere. Hence the use of the word "HEARD"...

;)

Re: Injury report. I thought it was "out there," but my source is TV and Channel 10 which seems to have the most breaking news Kings coverage in town other than KHTK radio - PLUS KINGSFANS.COM !!

1.) Coach Theus interviewed after practice talking about Artest and the MRI. Basically, he just said Ron left practice to go get it done and his status was questionable for the first pre-season game.

2.) Cisco in a quick sound bite saying he tweaked his ankle and didn't know if he could go tomorrow.

That's it - over and out

Oh yea I found the Cisco thing in Amick's blog. Man that would suck if Ron can't play tommorrow. Really looking forward to seeing him in Theus's offense.

D*mnit Its my birthday today!!!!!! i wanted to see hawes and cisco, and couldnt wait to see ron shut down durant. WOWOWOWOWOWOWW

depressing, not a good way to start bday.

It's a pre-season scrimmage. Ideally, the players who are trying desperately to make the team will get a fair chance to showcase their abilities.

who's this new co-host?
katie ?
former wnba player?

nm, it's Katye Christensen
