There may also be a little bit of "shoot the messenger" happening. Only the blindest homer would try to say that Thompson doesn't whine too much. But sometimes, you see him making a valid complaint, and his detractors will dismiss it, anyway, because "lol Thompson!"

Strong defensive stand by Thompson against Valanciunas, that will probably go unmentioned. McLemore did a good job rotating out to DeRozan the first time, but fell asleep after the ball went into the post.

Both of his parents were track athletes and it shows in him. The guy has blazing foot speed
