[Game] Game 45: Kings @ Raptors - 1/28/15

Corbin just said Kings players don't understand who is in game at any giving point to adjust defense accordingly - implying as example Mo Williams going off. Knowing who is on the court is easy, elementary, what's the hell is up with that? Some kind of communication breakdown, no talking on D, no timeouts to adjust, massive team breakdown.

Take it however you like. You seem to revel in attempting to ridicule me at every turn. I am not a fool, sir, and I am not a child.

I love this team. All of this isn't a game to me, and it isn't just something I pontificate about on a website. I do not enjoy most of my exchanges with you for the simple reason you seem to take joy in proving me wrong, belittling my opinion, etc. All that is your choice. I get it. You enjoy being the resident naysayer, the guy who has to lead the parade of negativity.
Now that's quite ridiculous. Now you're making it personal. Now you're making assumptions.

The resident naysayer? Belittling your opinion? Parade of negativity? Seriously?

In the post game Bobby J and the guys are cringing in embarrassment about the coaching and the team. It's like they are commenting on obscenities.

DeMarcus: They decided to play defense first. He's trying to lead by example. You either want to play defense or you don't.

He looks like he's trying not to cry. Clearly down. This really scared me for the future of this team.

We've got a pretty tough stretch coming up. Doesn't get any easier.

Not sure I want to see how bad this thing can get as it can get a fair amount worse. But this team appears to be giving up.

And if you look at the schedule remaining for the season, I honestly can't see how we win more than 10 games. I really don't.

He sees everything as his responsibility. In this case, I think he realizes there is nothing he can do. It's frustrating. I would be shocked if he also is thinking about the days with Malone. They had a relationship better than most fathers and sons. Even if that's going too far, you get what I mean.

Yippee, lets go play Cleveland next. They've now won 8 straight beating Portland at home tonight with no Lebron, who they didn't need as K. Erving dropped 55 points on Blazers.

This is uncalled for we are in a bad place as it is. Seeing that made me cry.

I'm sorry. It was retweeted on Twitter and struck a nerve. It's just a little reminder that we aren't exaggerating or making things up. We had a reason to feel hopeful, to feel positive, to feel something other than apathy or disappointment. We were relevant...and it all went away with one unrational and unfathomable decision by a rookie GM.

Corbin 1st question: “We did a pretty good job weathering the storm in the first half. The game was at a pace that we liked.”

Corbin on curtainling bad quarters: “Gotta do a better job, gotta understand the pace of the game, what’s working well.”

TC on fresh legs: “They had a lot of energy, I thought (in) the first half we kept it at a pace that gave them a chance also."

That is so unfair...to Pace University! Had a few friends graduate from there!

I just wonder where we would be if we kept the course. People assumed no playoffs cause okc would get 50 wins but they are struggling. NO of all teams is only 1.5 games back from the 8 seed. Even if people don't think we were as good as the beginning there's no way we arnt better than NO. Suns at 9th are on pace to win 46 games exatcly where we probably would have been.

If anyone is looking for evidence that PDA has his hands all over Corbin and is attempting to coach through him, look no further than how often and how frequently Corbin mentions pace.

Not just tonight either, it's after every f'ing game. Also seems to be increasing. It's as if PDA is on the phone with him every day dissecting whether or not we played at a pace which PDA tolerates.

We'll never know now but my honest opinion is around 35+.

Kayte said on the radio before the game that she hasn't heard the coach talk much about defense in the huddles (like Malone used to). Looks like it. This team is falling at ultrasonic speed down a deep black hole. It really does look like the coaching staff is trying to lose games. Where the hell was Casspi? Remember Casspi, the guy that was at the beginning of the season maybe the best or 2nd best player off the bench? Instead we play Stauskas and D-Will? Nothing makes sense with this team.
Has casspi played since that game he through a bit of a fit on the bench?

Does anyone care anymore?

Tons of things could have happened. The contract has to be signed and filed with the NBA office in New York. It could actually be Juno-related. Doubt if we'll ever know for sure, though.
No, this was just plain old ineptitude by the gerbil. I can't believe I bought season tickets to this ****ed up organization

i think 38-42 wins easily. even with the DMC meningitis....

we ARE a better team than NO. but not when incompetence in the front office kills the season

Sorry guys but I don't have twitter but my friend sent me a screenshot on my phone from @james_ham

"PR man Lorenzo Butler just announced he and the Sacramento Kings have parted ways. Good luck in your new ventures, Lo."

Wonder if this is just usual business or maybe cracks are starting to form throughout the organization.

I think a good PR man recognizes a lost cause when he's working on one.

Alternately of course, could be the idiots in the front office at work again: getting a lot of heat/bad press. They probably think its because they didn't have good enough PR people putting out the good word.
