[Game] Game 45: Kings @ Raptors - 1/28/15

Do you have some inside info? Im really afraid that I'm gonna wake up one of these mornings and read that Boogie has finally lost it and is demanding a trade.

no none whatsoever. But it's just all adding up. he is clearly frustrated on and off the court. probably feels betrayed after Malone was fired. and is about to endure his 5th straight season of winning less than 30 games, and probably going to miss the allstar team, again. all while being a top 5-10 player in the entire league....

although, i do know a guy who is close friends with Cousins manager Andrew Rodgers. So it would be worth asking him about one day if i talk to him any time soon

It would be great to hear what cousins "really thinks" about this dumpster fire.

yep. this is the guy who told me during the offseason that Tyreke was traded, that Cousins wanted to go to Dallas (Cuban was contacting him a lot) so the new management was going to spend big money on Tyreke instead of Cousins, until the Dallas thing didn't materialize so they traded Tyreke and spent the money on Cousins

Deep down in my sports fan heart id like to see cousins go somewhere else. It really sucks to see him wasting good years on this waste of a franchise. Kinda reminds me of Barry Sanders. Oh to have seen Barry Sanders go to a franchise that could have utilized him correctly and surrounded him with other great players.

I would have just liked to have seen another 5 years of Barry, period.

I'm with you there. I love me some Boogie. So much so that it's saddens me to see him wasting away here. Would rather see him go do big things elsewhere. No sense in ending up like kg and only having a year or two of real relevancy.

Hell even kg made the playoffs every now and then.

While that's all true, don't forget that this game was also only on at "normal" time for a small portion of us. This game was likely over before most "Kings Fans" on the west coast had had time to get comfortably situated at home.

If I were him, I would demand a trade.
Ever since they fired the coach and Vivek talked about wanting a "fast pace" I have felt deep down Cousins days as a King are numbered. A lot of what is occurring kind of reminds me of what the Lakers did to Pau by hiring Mike D, you could tell Pau's heart was no longer in it and you can tell the same with Cousins he's not going all out anymore (plus unlike Pau he's literally had to team success on top of that to add to the frustration).

If Vivek long term thing is to have a a exciting up and down team than you should trade Cousins now while his value is at it's highest, winning was not enough at the start of the year Vivek wanted us to play differently, either way Cousins is going to demand a trade due to the fact he can't play the way the FO wants. If Vivek is not prepared to allow to build a team properly around Cousins I would seriously try maybe move him right now for like Russell Westbrook and they can start building around Russell as a "up tempo" team.

"DeMarcus Cousins watch"

"DeMarcus Cousins watch"
Ah, such a scary thing that subject title, yet feels inevitable all of a sudden.

We will watch the guy make ten all star teams with a couple mvps if he escapes this living hell thing (will we lose ten in a row? Or twenty?) we have brewing in SacTown.

Boogie making the all star team and getting the chance to talk to other stars may not be the great long term positive we all want and need. More of a chance to network with real coaches and owners. All of whom see a chump FO quite possibly dumb and naive enough to give up its superstar. Phones must be ringing off the hook with teams lining up to get him. When there's a fish at the poker table, everyone is waiting to pounce. Our FO is a big ol fish flopping out of water right now, waiting to be taken advantage of by legit stable franchises.

If you're the Spurs, aren't you seeing a chance to have another decade of dominance if you could snatch Boogie?

I'm ready to follow him where ever he goes myself.
