The damn coach needs to take some of the blame, as do the other teammembers. I'm sick and tired of the one bright bulb in the lamp always pointing the finger of blame at himself.

LOL at Cousins becoming the most mature person in the franchise in the space of 2 years. There is rapidly coming a point here when there isn't going to much more he can do by himself. Then the cannons are going to be pointed squarely at us. Figure it out, or lose the greatest big of his generation with not a person in the world to blame but yourself.

I think he is getting more breaks this year although that is subjective. Hey, it took 40 minutes to get 6 fouls last night. That's either an improvement of Cousins' judgement (likely) or he is getting some breaks from the refs (also likely).

Cuz is averaging a career high in fouls per game at 4.3, and his mins are only about 2.5 higher per game than his career average.

If anything, it speaks to how incredible his improvement on defense has become as he still gets little respect from the refs. Earlier this year he was leading one of the top defenses in the league while getting ridiculous fouls called on him left and right and spending a fair amount of time on the bench due to it.

2.5 minutes a game is a lot. Anyway, I want the refs to understand that when he is in the paint and three guys are taking a swat at him, one of them fouled him. You can almost assume that. Perhaps the refs are assuming someone hit the ball and that negates all the other bruises Cousins got. I haven't looked closely at these situations but it seems to me he gets fouled more than most NBA players and perhaps it is occurring at such a rate that refs are embarrassed to call them.

The uptempo game eliminates a foul or two that should be called. He's quite a talent and I want him standing at the free throw line more often.

It's the unfortunate consequence of being a physically dominant post Center in the NBA. Dwight Howard went/goes through it on the Magic, Shaq went through it. Guys that size really get fouled on just about every play, but because they're so big and physical, a lot of stuff doesn't get called in the post. But they're still among the league leaders in FT attempts, which Cuz has been last year and this year
