When is he going to at least try the approach where he says nothing, nada, zero, to the officials?
No it's not...they just explained it on the Kings broadcast
Cousins bucked the heck out of the player.. if he had flop, it would've been much more clearer. It was an offensive foul plain and simple. An offensive foul should never be called if the contact is with a secondary defensive player who has established a defensive position within a designated "restricted area" near the basket for the purpose of drawing an offensive foul.
The "restricted area" for this purpose is the area bounded by an arc with a 4-foot radius measured from the middle of the basket.
EXCEPTION: Any player may be legally positioned within the "restricted area" if the offensive player receives the ball within the Lower Defensive Box.

There is an exception, but Cousins did not receive the ball within the lower defensive box, he drove in from the 3 point line. In other words, it was not an offensive foul.
I'm not sure why Malone hasn't given Casspi more minutes. I know he's Rudy's sub, but he can play multiple positions. They can play together.
Is Grant lobbing more soft-ball questions than usual at Jerry?

Doesn't matter, his foot was in the restricted area. If the offensive foul was called at the top of the key, I would have agreed because that's where he bumped him the worst. By definition of the rule, it should have been a foul on Baynes.Cousins bucked the heck out of the player.. if he had flop, it would've been much more clearer. No. Cuz gets those calls all the time.. where he flops onto the ground after his man keeps bumping and bumping him.Doesn't matter, his foot was in the restricted area. He's effective against the power/post up/hustle type players, it's the skilled shooters than he struggles with at the 4. He's done the job on TD, Blake, Faried x2.if we could get this kind of passing out of JT, then he'd as good as the spurs' tiago splitter.
Absolutely no movement on the offense, landry parking his ass in the paint, Ben sprints down the floor in transition but can't go anywhere because JT and Landry and both in the paint. Rudy is running point forward. Not looking good at all.

Is he in the restricted area when it happens? I am not trying to be a hard***, I am just reading the rules and based on what's written, it shouldn't have been a foul on Cousins. Did I think it was? Yes, I do, but if you are really keeping on top of the rules, then it was the wrong call. Unless there is more to it that isn't written on NBA.comNo. Cuz gets those calls all the time.. where he flops onto the ground after his man keeps bumping and bumping him.
Like I said, I also think it was an offensive foul, but by definition provided on NBA.com it seems like the wrong call. All in all, glad I am not a ref. There is a lot of interpretation that can be made.According to Grant, one of the officials came over to he and Jerry and explained why that was a foul on Cousins. Grant said that he agreed after hearing the explanation that it was the right call...
