Hall of Famer
Although the lockout and the potential of losing the entire season is extremely depressing, there are a few rays of sunshine bursting through the darkness. You know me, ever the optimist! I ran across this article listing who will be available in the freeagent class of 2012, if there's no freeagent period for 2011 because of the season being cancelled. It could well be the best freeagent class ever.
Being a Kings fan, 2012 could be a terrific year. We might have a new arena under way ( I pray) and still be loaded with freeagent designated money shopping in a store loaded with some of the top freeagents. Here's the article!

On top of that, with the season cancelled, I'm assuming that the draft order will be the same with perhaps another lottery. The Kings can't do any worse than they did last time, and the odds are that they will do better. Add in that this next draft will be one of the most talented and deep drafts in the last 10 years.
So in the short term, its painful to miss a season, but the end result could be a huge bonus for the Kings. Just saying!
