Free Salmson!

This is funny--in a cute, gimmicky way.

The Kings mascot is camping out on on top of the IKEA sign until the Kings sell 1000 tickets to the home opener..

Give credit where its due, the Kings are marketing the heck out of themselves trying to sell tickets. I hope he's not up there for long :p

There are always...less savory things involved when people do the camp out high off the ground thing. And this one is wearing a costume.

I am glad they sold the 1000 tickets. Fans need to go out to the games and support our team. I REALLY wish that the Maloofs and the Kings had found a way to televise the PreSeason games. I think Preseason games help to build up excitement in the team, and to not televise even ONE of those games is a real bummer. Other teams televise their preseason games. I would be willing to bet that EVERY Knicks preseason game is televised. How expensive would it be to have a local tv station televise the games? Like channel 10 used to do for a few games? Just let them come in for a low price to televise and give the fans what they want. I am CERTAIN they could find sponsors for preseason games. It isn't like they are gonna LOSE money televising the games. Charge whoever televises the game the minimum to cover whatever costs there are and let them round up the sponsors to pay for their costs. I just dont understand how the economy could cause the preseason games to not be on tv.

Actually, apparently most teams are not televising pre-season games. Maybe they'd like more people to actually show up at the arena. Pre-season games have had a pretty awful turn-out in recent years.

Really? I thought you were referring to a half-salmon, half-lion Salmson like this:
Cool! :)

My 2 1/2 year old grandaughter was with me at the scrimmage yesterday. She was praying Slamson would go away, when he was nearing our vicinity (still pretty far away). She was ready to cry.

Chuckie Cheese ruined her birthday by scaring the beejesus out of her. She was terrified. Santa Claus should be fun. ;)
