@jakelfischerYeah..where did you hear that.
I would rather pay Crabbe $15 Mil than sign Affalo for $9 and Tolliver for $8.
It's very really that simple my friend . We always forget that free agency is a two way street. The other player must be agreeable to sign here too. Plus Crabbe is a RFA so puts hold on your cap space and Portland can always match.

Right..I don't have an issue with BenMac because that draft was bad. He wasn't a bad pick. WCS is still in wait and see mode but doesn't look like a bad pick but as you probably have seen, I wanted to take Mudiay and still wish we would have done that but WCS wasn't at all a bad pick. Hope I am wrong but I don't like this year's first pick at all.Yep we essentially wasted three straight lottery picks in Jimmer , Robinson and Stauskas. Man if we could have even one of them back for do-over

Yeah, what are you basing this comment on? Crawford came close to signing with the Kings in 2011. He opted to sign with Portland, but said it was really close at the time.
I would've loved Tyler Johnson here, but Vlade thinks otherwise. He's going to be good.
Yeah, that's always the negative with RFAs. It's the main reason why no one has offered Crabbe anything yet. Johnson hasn't signed the offer sheet, so it'll be interesting to see what he does. I hope Vlade can put up a similar deal. He would be a very good fix for our PG position while Collison is suspended. Could be a great option at SG if Afflalo/Ben don't live up to their play.Johnson is also restricted. It would have used up all of the Kings remaining caproom to sign him to an offer sheet and if the Heat waited the full three days the Kings would potentially miss out on both Johnson and any other FAs that the Kings have their eyes on.
So do you guys think the Kings feel Collisons punishment if any will be minimal. Most teams would renounce the player right away. I may be in the minority but im glad the Kings didnt. Darren has been a class act his whole career and made a mistake that im sure is killing him.Via David Alridge a few minutes ago:
Kings, moving on from Rajon Rondo, are comfortable with Darren Collison as their starter next season, I’m told. Will look for backup PG.

I like Chalmers but he tore his Achilees and is 30 years old, not good combination.So my guess is we look at chalmers next. Had a few good games under Joerger before he got injured.
I'm only saying that because he tends to turn into a GOD when he plays us; the ultimate King's Slayer.

That is true. But other FA options arent as attractive as well. Norris Cole, Brandon Jennings, Beno Udrih, Kirk Hinrich..
Rumors say these names attached to Sac.....Sloan and Garret Temple.So my guess is we look at chalmers next. Had a few good games under Joerger before he got injured.

It's no secret I wanted Crabbe badly, but like I said yesterday, if Vlade truly believes that Bogdan is our SG of the future then there is no reason to spend $15 million a year on a long term deal for a player of the same position. I think Vlade is being wise. He's not just looking at this year.I would rather pay Crabbe $15 Mil than sign Affalo for $9 and Tolliver for $8.
