Trade Rudy for Stuckey or Monta and who do we have at SF? We just created another whole.
His name is
Omri.
Casspi.
And yes, he's starter quality. Was easily our 2nd best player last year.

RYNO is in LA.
I am still trying to figure out how Anderson fits into the equation with WCS if we get him. Do they see WCS as a possible SF? I imagine with the money Anderson is going to get that he will be expecting to be a starter somewhere.
I hope soAccording to Pacers fans over at NBA reddit this blogger shouldn't be taken too seriously. Seems like a random blogger without any real inside information who's jumping on a trade that was already rumored prior to the draft.
Harrison Montague@harrisonmontagu
@teamziller @SactownRoyalty my cousin just saw vlade and Peja at the airport. On a plane for the next few hours.

Omri Casspi is not a starting SF and never will be. He's a great roleplayer to have off the bench, and that's it. I know people are infatuated with his heart and hustle and tend to overrate him, but if your team is starting Omri Casspi at SF, you've got problems.
All of these Rondo rumors about meeting with all of these teams basically prove to me that Vlade made an offer and refuses to budge. Basically he said "here's what I'm offering. Go test the market and come back to me if you get a better offer and I'll consider whether or not to raise my original." Rondo seems to be desperate for the money more than the situation.
Granted, I'm never going to hate on somebody for going for the money especially in a profession where most people are done making money before they are 25/quote]
Fixed. I'm kidding but I wouldn't be suprised if it's true.

Well people are thrilled about starting Crabbe next year so let's compare their numbers:
Casspi: 11.8 pts (48.1 FG%, 40.9 3pt%), 5.9 reb, 1.4 ast, 0.8 stl, 0.2 blk and 1.4 TO's in 27.2 minutes. PER 13.96, RPM +0.96 (16th amongst SF's)
Crabbe: 10.3 pts (45.9 FG%, 39.4 3pt%), 2.7 reb, 1.2 ast, 0.8 stl, 0.2 blk and 0.8 TO's in 26.0 minutes. PER 12.26, RPM -2.40 (68th amongst SG's)
So on almost the exact same playing time Casspi has better shooting%, scores 1.5 more points, grabs 3.2 more rebounds, 0.2 more assits, identical block and steals numbers, better PER and far better RPM.
And I'm not saying that I don't like Crabbe or that I'm advocating for Casspi to be our permanent starter- but guys here are hyped about making guys with similar or lesser production starters so claiming he will never be a starter is ridiculous.

Well, stats really don't tell you the whole story here. Crabbe is ready to breakout from Lillard/McCollum. Casspi has been in the league for 7 years, and we already know what his role is. Hell, the reason why he left in the first place was because of the refusal to accept his role. The rest of his career after Sacramento really gave him a harsh reality check.Well people are thrilled about starting Crabbe next year so let's compare their numbers:

The difference is we are hyped for potentially getting Crabbe because he would fill an extreme position of need.Well people are thrilled about starting Crabbe next year so let's compare their numbers:

Do you notice the smart teams, Spurs, GSW, Cleveland have not made all these outrageous contracts to mid-tier Free Agents.
They are waiting it out and will pick up some smart Free Agent bargains after a week or two.
I think it is best to wait until the dust settles and pay players what they are worth, rather than overpaying just because you have cap space.
Please, Vlade, DON'T Panic. Please don't get caught up in this absurd spending and wait it out and spend wisely!!!
Bad contracts will handcuff teams for years to come, especially small market teams.
IN VLADE WE TRUST (I HOPE)!!!![]()
No way I would trade Gay for Monta or Stuckey. At that point just overpay for Rondo and keep Gay.
I honestly don't know why we want to mess up our 3-5 with Gay/WCS/Cuz, 2 out of the 3 are 20ppg players and the other one is a freak of nature athlete that can guard 3-5 at any point in the game. Those three would be our "core" and we should look to add to them. Both Cuz and Gay are Olympians, have very good half court games, and carry this team.
The difference between someone using facts to back up their claims and well.. not . Casspi is about an ideal fit as you can put next to a big like Cousins (Great spot up shooter, high energy, good defense, stays out of the way, great rebounder), but once again people only go by their perception of "Oh, there's no way Casspi's a starter" rather than what he actually did on the court.
