With my second round pick, LoungeLizard selects.....

Kevin Garnett PF

Garnett's versatility will allow me to move him around to play the 3, 4 or 5 depending on the matchup. Night in and night out a 20 10 and 5 guy. Actually, in his prime a 24 14 6 guy. I'll take his defense, I'll take his intensity, I'll take his passion. Garnett and West will get along well.

the person before Peja, that bumped peja into the 2 slot "on-the-clock" has to PM him.

so I think it was kings4lyfe that was supposed to

So Peja and Viking are up I think.. since it is a 2 person on the clock, the person that does not choose is still on the clock, but if the other chooses then it bumps up another player into clock

I just realized you teamed Isiah Thomas with Karl Malone -- you do realize that Karl once tried to kill the little **** with an intentional flying elbow chop don't you? :p

As an aside, not really feeling the spoilers on the draft list -- makes it a pain to eyeball who has been taken and not.

I'm guessing he's building the all-imploding team

Dwayne "Flash" Wade

A great leader and teammate, Dwyane Wade is not even in his prime yet and he is already one of the most accomplished players in the NBA. He is one of the top guard defenders in the game and is likely even better on offense. On offense, he has established himself as one of the quickest and most difficult players to guard in the NBA. He has averaged 25.2 ppg in his lifetime and is still on the rise. He averaged over 30 points this past season! Wade is able to get to the free throw line consistently; he ranked first in free-throw attempts per 48 minutes in 2004–05 and again in the 2006–07 season. He has proven himself an unselfish player, averaging 6.7 assists per game throughout his career and almost 8 per game this past season! After winning the NBA Finals MVP Award in 2006, Wade developed a reputation as one of the premier clutch players in the NBA. Wade also can be devastating in the post up game.Wade is also known for his defensive prowess, particularly his ability to block shots. Wade became the first player in NBA history to accumulate at least 2,000 points, 500 assists, 100 steals, and 100 blocks in a season. Wade also became just the fifth player in NBA History to reach 2,000 points, 500 assists, and 150 steals in a season. He has made the all star every year besides his rookie season.

  • NBA Champion: 2006
  • NBA Finals MVP: 2006
  • NBA Scoring Title: 2009
  • 5-time NBA All-Star: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009
  • 3-time All-NBA:

  • Second Team: 2005, 2006
  • Third Team: 2007

  • All-Defense:

  • Second Team: 2005

Sorry, he posted right after me and I was going to send a PM but he posted before I was even able to.

Fair enough. It's just a really good habit to get into, even if the person is already in the process of making their selection. I was in a couple of drafts last TDOS where we just kept forwarding the "You're up" PM back and forth between the people before and after us, which made it an easy habit to get into and ensured nobody forgot...

Just a suggestion.

:)

I take Chris Paul

Chris Paul - PG

On his way to being a top 5 PG ever. If only the game where played at the 80s pace.....

Led the lead two years in a row in steals and assists. Enough said.

Correct me if I'm wrong but is that a young, lean Shaq in the back of that picture?

Ok I'm up finally

BarkleyDunk.jpg

Charles Barkley
The round mound of rebound. Short, stocky (ummm), but an amazing player. One of the 50 greatest NBA players. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Barkley for more info. He was also on that little team the US put together for the 92 Olympics.

Oh and as a side note, my lockeroom is going to be epic. Shaq + Barkley giving quotes? Who's coming!

Gary Payton

Its never too early to switch into team building mode, and I'm a little confused what to do with all the old legends still on the board anyway. So knowing all of the star PGs that we'll be facing, and not needing a 100% pure passer with Larry Legend running the show form the SF spot, I'm selecting probably the best defensive PG in history, a 9x First Team All Defense member, the only PG to ever win the Defensive Player of the Year award -- introducing as our new PG: The Glove.

And as an aside, if it comes down to a smacktalking competition, we've got this won hands down.
