Both Pollard and Birdman were my picks before I realized I needed a better backup to go against others backups.

Good choices!

Update is happening now...

Well here is my final player:

Hal Greer

I need a point guard that is completely different than my other two. While Hardaway and Earl Monroe are flamboyant, Greer didn't care how much he was recognized and did what was best for the team and that's what he will do for my team. "If there were an award given for a player who is most respected by basketball insiders, while getting the minimum public appreciation, Greer could win hands down."-- Herald Tribune.

He will come in and know that he isn't the first or second option on the team. He is a great defender and although he won't be looked to much to score, when the team needs a scoring punch he can bring it with his great jump shot and he was pretty good at driving to the hoop too. His best statistical season was 24 ppg, almost 5 apg, and 5.5 rbg.

* NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team
* 1× NBA Champion
* 7× All NBA Second Team
* 1968 All-Star MVP
* 10× NBA All-Star
* Jersey (#16) retired by Marshall University
* Jersey (#15) retired by the Philadelphia 76ers

Greer will also be a great player in the locker room, inspiring players to keep getting better. Greer believed that in order to succeed in the NBA a player had to keep learning and adjusting. The advice he once gave to young players reveals something of his philosophy toward the game: "Each player should try to improve," he said. "Each game, each minute, each time on the floor, you should try to learn something different. That was the way I went about things."

Sorry for the delay. I didn't see the PM until I logged on just now.

With my lucky 13, I'm going for a truly versatile player from an incredible basketball family...

I'm going to add a little more height to my roster...so I'm picking

C- Chris Kaman

Best Season 07/08

15.7 ppg, 12.7 rpg, 2.8 bpg, 1.9 apg

Chris Kaman had an amazing season in 07/08 but he was unfortunately marred by injuries last season causing him to only play 31 games and not put up numbers of that caliber. Whether or not he is actually as good as his breakout season would have you believe, he's a big addition to any team and at 7 feet he at least gives you some inside presence.

So for my 12th man I pick a player that may not get much playing time so I need one who could play many different positions and could play some defense. I also need some to look good when not playing. So with my pick I choose.

Marko Jaric PG/SG/SF

James White

48 inch vertical leap. In my opinion ranks up their with Vince Carter and Dominique ect. for the best dunkers to ever grace the hardwood. Got his nickname flight for being able to do pretty much any dunk from the freethrow line including a windmill and a between the legs. And yes he was in the NBA He will only see PT when we are up by a bunch and the crowd starts to chant his name ala Gerald Wallace.

Manute Bol

Manute Bol was a class act fighting for peace in his country and being a great player on the court. I am honored to pick Manute Bol the 7'7 giant from Sudan with my last pick.

Probably because keeping stuff like this updated is time-consuming and prone to error because of the way the links have to be captured.

:rolleyes:

I'll fix it.

You could always google him... ;)

sorry if I sound snippy but this stuff is really tedious at times.

No he did not. Probably because he did not have any other skills then dunking. He went on tour with AND1 once.

Sorry. He's ineligible per the following:

Players/coaches are to be former/current NBA players/coaches only.

That's one of the rules SLAB posted in the initial post. I'm removing the pick; you'll have to post a make-up pick.

Thanks...

Yes I know I am joking probably should have used the :p symbol. But put him as a G

Please see my post above. Since he did not play in the NBA and is NOT eligible for this year's draft, he is not eligible for this draft. Sorry. You need to pick a replacement player.
