Draft Lottery (Kings get #8 pick)

Or not. Maybe the NBA is targeting for 1 small market team to make it to the top. Come on...they can't be that lucky...LeBron, Irving, and multiple other draft picks in the last couple years.
There's no way in hell that it's a coincidence. I wonder why such a push for Cleveland

It's not fixed. It's an idiotic accusation. Still hate the Cavs though.

Cousins is planning his ticket out of Sacramento.
**** our lives.

Haha, doubtful he'd do that over the draft lotto results.

PDA does need to pull his head out of his *** and get us a roster with more than 3 guards and less than 7 power fowards if we're every going to get anywhere though....But thats another convo for another thread.

There needs to be a rule if you get a top 3 pick for the next 3 years you can't get a top 5 pick, force the franchise to actually try make trades or do something instead of relying on young talent and tanking.

I would prefer it be the Lakers, at least we know they will be good sooner than later and will be out of the lotto quickly, a small market constantly being rewarded and doing nothing, while other small markets like us constantly get the shaft makes me sick.

Wtf as if they need anpther advantage of being in a big fa destination. Where is the rolling eyes icon

Cleveland had like what...a 1% chance? Really though.. Improbable. Mathematics say, that Cleveland picking so many times in the last couple years is extremely improbable. Like 1 in a quintillion
Would love to see someone do the math.

Nobody wants the 8th pick; they can't trade it for anything more than Miki Moore. There is no ammo to trade up, unless you think Jason Thompson is ammo (and I don't). Well, there is Stauskas and Hood and those guys...

That doesn't make any sense: the gd lakers are going to be good sooner than later, because they're the gd lakers, and they always get who they want. You want them to be able to get the premier free agents, and the top draft prospects?

What small market team got the shaft? So, Milwaukee didn't get the Number One pick, teams with the worst record almost never get the Number One pick. They still, technically, "won" the lottery, when you consider that the lottery is only to determine the top three picks. Obviously, Cleveland is the big winner but, aside from them, who didn't get the pick they were supposed to get?

Way too good a rule - too much sense. Wonder why they have not done it.

The worst thing is, don't we lose our pick next year too? I have a feeling we might end up bottom 3 next year.

ruined my fing night. bright side is the pistons dont have their.pick. They tanked into the 8th spot. Charlotte is win now. Will they give.us the 9th pick for jt?

We're not going to get much for a #8 pick. I'd rather draft the player and showcase him for a year. There's no chance in hell that we make the playoffs next year even with a vet (barring it's not a star but we won't get crap for #8 pick LOL).

I get where you're coming from, but it's easy for the forum to feel salty over what just happened. No need to explain to you why the lottery is such a glimmer of hope for a team such as the Kings, and instead of remaining even just neutral, the Kings were shafted... again.

I think we say bye to Gay as well who probably realizes that there's nothing here for him. We will re-sign IT and start him and next season, I will be skipping.

Is it, though? I get why people were salty when we had the worst record, and ended up with the fourth pick. I get why people were salty when we had the second-worst record, and ended up with the fifth pick. I don't really get why people are salty when we had the seventh-worst record, and ended up with the eighth pick.

Now, if we were picking tenth, that I would get.

The draft lottery determined my decision for season tickets. This made my decision easier. Good luck with the Kings making the playoffs. We deserve better than this. I am tired of player development. The Kings won't make the playoffs for another 5 years... If that.
