Down, but not out...

Anyone who watched tonights game knows that the Spurs got lucky tonight, they know we had their number and they dodged a bullet...

i still have faith, i know what the odds are for a team down 2-0 in the playoffs, hell sacramento has always been the underdogs...

Sacramento IS going to win this series...

4 of 5 from the Spurs? Either sweeping them in 4 or winning a Game 7 on their home floor?

We fought today. Should fight, and with Arco, quite possibly win on Friday. Now at least its competitive. But win the series?

Here's the thing I ask. When we DON'T win the series, which we won't, no suicide watches. No demands for everybody to be fired for "failing". If this team fights, it has not failed. It has just been beaten by a better team. No shame in that as long as we compete.

Exactly my thoughts... 100%

And they've always lost...

One good thing about this series, no matter how it turns out, is that it cleary shows the areas that need improvement, and we may actually look a lot better next year because of it.

I'm often seen as a rather beaming optimist, and certainly don't want to take anything away from the way this team has turned itself around, but the Spurs are just such a superior team to the Kings.

Putting up a fight like they did tonight is admirable, and something I can really cheer for regardless the result. They played a tight game with the champs and stuck with it despite what was essentially the absence of their three stars. Huzzah for them.

But, realistically, though I'll root for the opposite until the clock hits 0.0, there's no way in heck that this team is winning 4 of 5 against a team that is playing so much better.

Very optimistic, I think we played very well, however, things are going to change with Ron-Ron back in the lineup, for good and bad. Good, we'll get more defense, bad, the players that played so well tonight will not get as many shots or make as many shots.

I do not see us winning this series at all, never really did, but if we could have stole this one tonight we may have had a chance.

After tonight and having our team play so hard and lose I think we're done in 5.

A lot of that has to do with the fact that they are one of the best penetrating teams in the league. We are the WORST at defending it, yet it seems like we may give them a tough time. Thats kind of amazing if you ask me.

Just enjoy it one game at a time.

I wouldn't mind watching another couple of games of tonight's quality, win or lose.

That's how I'm looking at it now. If we take the 2 home games I'll take a different perspective.

I don't think we should look at this game as a disappointment in any way. It will help us in the long run when the Maloofs get sick of the layup drills and Petrie finds us a paint clogger in the offseason. And it shows that when these guys give it their all they can play anyone and have a chance to beat them.

Well I'm going to Arco on Friday and I'm going there believing our team can win that game. I'm planning on having no voice for a few days. ;)

Miller and Bibby are in their own world and someone needs to slap them out of it. Miller missed crucial shots that would have increased our lead and swung momentum to our side. And what Bibby is doing on the court is just....questionable to say the least. Is Bibby going to be like in last years series against the Sonics when he sucked for the first 2 games(away) and in Game 3 he dropped like 35 or something like that. WE need them to step up and its now or never. I hate Barry.

Bibby doesn't really worry me, we all know what he can do under pressure. He had a bad shooting game tonight, however he was contributing in other aspects of the game. Brad is the one who needs to show he can perform under pressure and so far he has wilted. Hopefully the Arco crowd can light a fire under both of them.

^^^ Do you know that your avatar is the logo for the L.A. Kings hockey team?

The LA Kings should go back to purple and gold unis. Bad luck has befallen them ever since. ;)

I agree. I don't watch much hockey but I do remember those unis.
Gretzy played in the black ones though...didn't they get to the finals?? Oh, but they didn't win.

A game last night sucks the life out of you. I know it did to me, and I'm not even on the team. Their spirit was borken. To fight that hard and not pull it out, because of a few dumb *** move's KILLS YOU. Now if they had won last night it's anew series. 0-0, 5 game series essentially, home court advantage KINGS. But, nope. Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way.

As I big LA Kings fan (I actually like hockey better than bball) I would have to say nooooo to the gold unis. Silver and gray was the best. True they lost in the finals but nobody was scoring on Patrick Roy. He is by far the best goalie I have ever seen. I hated him, but I respected him.
