Ok next question. What do we trade for the 14 mil in salary. Salmons and Hayes
Why in the world would Philly do that? Salmons and Hayes are owed more in total than Iguodala is. Iguodala is better. So it wouldn't be a salary dump as they wouldn't be dumping salary, and it wouldn't be a talent-based trade, because they would be losing hard.
If Philly is looking for a salary dump, I don't think we'll be very able to accommodate them. It's possible, but I doubt it. Depending on the exact contract dollars of the JT and ThRob contracts, there's a slim chance that we could do Garcia ($6.1M) and Outlaw ($3M/3M/3M) for Iggy ($14.7/15.9) straight up, but more than likely it wouldn't quite work with the cap. We could make it happen by throwing in one of Whiteside/Honeycutt/IT, but I doubt Philly is looking for Honeycutt with the new wings they're bringing in and I doubt we're looking to deal IT. Whiteside?
If Philly actually wants talent back, it's MT23 or bust unless the front office decides that Tyreke is worth sending for Iggy (and I don't believe that). It would be quite a bit easier to make an offer work under the cap if we include MT23, but you still have to get Philly to bite, and they've got Turner and just signed Nick Young.
I'm just not sure there's a trade fit that works for both teams here.
