He's basically a rookie. Young (I think around 21) and averaged what, like 5 minutes a game his first three seasons?

Rebounding needs improvement, but with the magic he had 2 blocks in about 20 minutes a game.

I havent really thought out any trade scenarios, but what are the thoughts on getting him on the Kings?

He'd fill the eastern european void that has been left by the departures of Vlade and Peja at least!

And they would be silly to trade him. Darko and Howard complement each other perfectly. Orlando are aware that they stole a real talent from the Pistons.

I totally disagree with u, I have seen the guy play, lol. He is why better then Songalia. The Darko has great range all the way to the 3, great rebounder, great blocker, defends, good post player, good passer, and drives to the hole pretty well. All the man needed was time to get on the floor and show what he could do, if you saw him play last year you would know that. At the least he could be an Okur with D but i think he will be better then that.

I really think you got it out for Darko, lol. Just because he didn't play doesn't mean he has no star talent. Darko needed time to Develop, he needed mins, he need shot Atp, and he needed a place where he could make mistakes and learn from them. Playing on a Title team like the pistons, where they play their starters for the for the majority of the games, he was not going to do any of those things. Playing on a young team like the magic, they let him have the freedom to do all these things. Darko was not like Lebron who could just make a slasph in the league just like that. And Unlike Darko; Wade, Lebron, Bosh, Kirk, and Carmole all went to stuggling teams at the time where they were all able to do the things I listed above.

And The one game he did play against the pistons (with Big Ben) last season which the magic won, he played a pretty good game even thou the stats might not show it. He had 8 pts on 4 for 5 shooting, 4 rebounds, 2 dimes and one block off the bench. I really think that he could hold his own playing the pistons with or without Ben.

Would love to have Darko now. Was an advocate for getting him depending on cost, but it was a risk and just did not happen. And now it pretty much cannot happen. Given that the eventual price was basically Cato (expiring) and Orlando's #1 not sure if we could have matched other than Bonzi, but wonder what would have happened if instead of Potatohead and the since departed Monia we had offered Skinner and our #1. At one point that looked like a lottery pick too from Detroit's perspective.

There will be softness questions tailing him for a long time I'm sure, but in Orlando he's playing next to Howard, who can take care of the musclework by himself. Meanwhile all Darko did was average 2.07 blks off the bench in 20.9min, and on the season trailed only Zo and Griffin per 48 amongst major players (Mbenga and our own Jamaal Sampson technically exceeded that too, but in no minutes). We need to see whether he can rebound and develop structure to his offensive game, but he was already a good backup big down the stretch last year in basically his first real minutes in the NBA. If he develops at all Orlando's future frontcourt could easily be something like this:

PF- Howard 20pts 13rebs 1.8blk

Let alone if he actually starts to take off as a major player (and of course Howard might be better than that too).

He already is a crap rebounder. 4.1 in 21 minutes is weak. About the same pace SAR was working at last year. But under my above scenario it all depends on how many minutes it takes him to put up those numbers. For argument's sake that was basically minimal development for Darko and just getting more time. And so if its 8 in 36 min, yep, he's crap on the glass, and just having his *** covered by Howard the way Big Ben covered for Sheed. If its 8 in 30-32, that's maybe ok. If that's 8 in 40, then Howard should be slapping him for nonsupport.

Yep, those stats are pretty much close to what i expected also. Mine where 15 pts, 9 rebs, and 3blks for Darko and 18pts, 13rebs and 2blks for Dwight. A good problem that the magic will have is that they both will be stealing rebounds and blocks from each other, lol. I love Dwight but he is still raw on the offence end thats why i don't see him avg 20 yet maybe playing on the US team could further improve that part of his game. But that man sure could go up there and dunk the ball.

I really thing that Dwight is part of the problem why Darko may only get 8 or 9 rebs. Dwight goes after every single rebound, lol. Its really hard to get a rebound when your teammate getting them all.

Darko's 4.74 blocks per 48 minutes would seem to disagree with you. If my calculations are correct, Ben Wallace's career high in blocks/per 48 is 4.56. I'm not saying Darko is Ben Wallace, but he's obviously not Darius Songaila (career high is a little over half a block per 48) either.
