Too little too late, imo. Yes we can make a case for that, but his awful start, our futile play for a stretch and his reputation of getting Westy fired all point to no at this time. He's playing at an All Star level now, but two weeks doesn't make a season.
Now, one scenario that could get him in as a backup since I don't see anyway he's voted in by thursday is if Bynum picks up his annual injury. If Bynum goes down before the All Star game, or whoever the coaches pick as a backup goes down, he has a shot at being a replacement. Figure Bynum/M Gasol at center, along with Duncan. Griffin/Dirk/Pau/Aldridge/Love at pf makes Duncan at center even more likely. But it's an outside shot. I personally don't see the league picking Cousins as a replacement given his reputation surrounding Westy. The dark horse is his stats though. Keep getting 20/20 or near it and we play at a .500 clip, he could force his way in if there is an injury and we go to replacements.
