Cousins isn't a winner?

I don't want to label Cousins the Melo of bigs just yet....he just needs to change his approach and attitude, wait I sound like a broken record here. I don't know if he ever will change his ways, as a professional sports player, you are put in terrible and sometimes impossible situations, that does not excuse you from throwing antics time and time again and deciding to call it quits for the season. Don't play for your coach, play for your city, fans and most importantly for your teammates. This is not to bash Cousins to any degree, I just question if he will ever change his ways. By the way, he is not the primary reason for being a loser, he just has a mentality of a loser, two separate situations.

Why do people keep saying they don't want him to be like Melo? Melo has been successful for basically his whole career other than 2 season's? I would gladly take Cuz being the Melo of big men that means every year we would be in the playoffs for the most part.

So I suppose you are content with being a one and done playoff team year in and year out as you waste your best players potential on that and then later on trade him for pennies on the dollar because you were incapable of surrounding him with a team to the distance. By the way, I don't see the Knicks being world beaters since acquiring Carmelo so he will go down as one of those players that was capable of putting up nice numbers but it didn't turn into anything relevant. Maybe Cousins will head down that same path, we will not know until he is gone from here, that's what I'm convinced on.

He's made the 2nd round multiple times and yes I would love being a 1 and done team cause that means we are at least give ourselves a chance to make noise even if we don't. What's wrong with selling out areans and making the playoffs every year and winning more than you lose. Melo gets a seriously bad rep while Chris Paul who has had similar success they always say is a great all time PG.

CP3 has the Melo syndrome. They both are not players that can carry their respective teams to the promised land, they are going to be in the hall of fame most likely, or at least one of them, maybe but they may never win championships.

I would say that's generally because PGs traditionally aren't thought of as guys who carry the team, especially guys who aren't looking to score first. You rarely hear of building a team or system around a PG.
