Potential Free Agent/Trade/Sign Tracker, '25-'26 Season

The Warriors are still likely in full control here unless they offered Kuminga the max and he still turned it down. The new game of GM'ing is to shave off as much in negotiations as possible. This sounds like it's 100% about money right now.
They’re in “control” to the extent they can stomach the tax hit and the second apron penalties which they seem desperate/determined to avoid even for talent they want.

So what’s GSW plan here why not take the kings deal over Phoenix at some point they need to sign Horford.

The offer shouldn’t include Carter why is this franchise so stupid Phoenix is offering them Grayson ****ing Allen and we show up with Carter, jesus offer them monk and be done with it that’s the best offer on the table for them

Monk doesn't work for some stupid cap rule, I think. Either that or I think it's been said GS doesn't want him

Which I'm not really sure why Carter/Saric does cap wise

They had to know what they were getting into when they traded for Butler. They are basically set up for the pain to be short since it looks like they are on a 2 year window prior to rebuild.

The cap rule is BYC - Warriors are limited to receiving 150% of Kuminga's salary from last year while any team that takes him has to apply his new contract to their cap. Monk would work if Kuminga's salary is in that range. The issue is Kuminga wanting 30 million and then figuring out how to make that work.

This is kind of silly but the rationale behind it is to keep teams from using sign and trades to skirt the salary cap. It's pretty fair when you consider what happened with the KD situation where they took D-Lo back just to stay as an above cap team.

What’s the number at if it’s a monk swap? Just offer Kuminga that and give him a player option to get a bigger deal later. What it sounds like he doesn’t wanna be in GSW and I don’t blame him he’ll be benched in no time. Offer GSW monk if they don’t want him then good luck with Grayson Allen no reason to offer Carter

If the Kings are doing a sign and trade they should, for Giddy not Kuminga and look to move off Schroeder straight away when.
He's eligible to be traded. Would a Giddy for Kuminga not be logical for both teams?

It should be pretty close if it's a Monk swap but I think Monk is making under 20m and he wanted 30.
