Cousins is Mentally Weak

I'm guessing the NBA felt DeMarcus had reason to be upset and react the way he did considering they chose not to suspend him. Going after a players knee is among the worst no-no's a player can do.

BTW, where is that lwp character, who promised to admit he was wrong about DeMarcus being injured? He just missed tonight's game as a result of the contact from that play. That proves him wrong, unless he's going to stubbornly stick to his liar liar, pants on fire defense. I'll go out on a limb and say that's his plan....

I got banned and, yes, it is my opinion DMC was not hurt.

No, you got infractions for being a total and complete jerk, in direct violation of our first general rule (Don't be a jerk).

As far as your ridiculous insistence that DMC did not get hurt, I'm calling bull****. You might want reference Tyndel's post above. Here, I'll make it easy for you:

Pause it at 9 and 10 seconds. Next time before rationalizing that an action might have mitigating circumstances but dismissing it outright look at the evidence first. Not only was the "potential" there for his knee to get hit it did in fact get hit...

Still want to maintain your stance, in spite of evidence to the contrary? Or can you just suck it up and admit you were wrong? Inquiring minds would like to know.

It's just my opinion. Am I entitled to that? I'm not getting nasty with anybody.

So is Cousins pretending to be injured to prove a point? Or maybe you think it is just all in his head.

IMHO, I think he did get a little bit bruised or whatever but it wasn't anything close to having to sit out tonight. I think in his head, sitting out justifies what he did the other night. It makes it look like Dunleavy did cheap shot him and he got hurt.

Please note, this is just my opinion. I am not personally insulting anybody.

Why did you have to explain his status to him??? :)

Unless you know something we don't, this really isn't something to have an opinion on. We have to take Cousins and the team's word that he was legitamtely hurt, unless told otherwise.

So now it's an opinion, huh? Yesterday, you were stating it as an unequivocal fact. Just like your "banned" comment, it's yet another thing your 100% wrong about.

You've been proven wrong, as evidenced by the fact that Cousins didn't play tonight because of it. And before you resort back to the "Cousins is lying and I know it" shtick, you can't at all prove it. The facts are, he missed tonight's game due to a left leg contusion caused by the Dunleavy hit. You said you'd admit that you were wrong, so man up and do it already. Failure to do so, and I propose that this thread be renamed, "LWP777 is mentally weak" as that's playing out to be a far more accurate assessment.

Please do not get nasty with me. I didn't with you. Everything we say on this board is an opinion. Only DMC knows for sure if he's hurt and if he could have played yesterday. It's not fair to say I was wrong. We will never know if I was. What does it matter anyway? Why do you care so much that I think he's not hurt?

Years ago, I remember Grant saying he felt Bobby Jackson wasn't as hurt as he claimed to be (Bobby used to miss a lot of games due to various injuries). It's not like I'm the only person who has had this opinion about a professional athlete. It happens all the time.

Cousins probably has a sore leg. He has nothing to prove and is happy to sit. Smart is probably happy to oblige him and keep him on the bench.

There is a fine line between trolling and stupid. As there is absolutely no history at all of Cousins dogging it and not wanting to play in a game, in fact the hsitory is wildly in the opposite, your statement is nonsensal at best. And I suspect you know that.

Why's this? Chuck and Dally are both 72's on 2k13...(disregard that last sentence)

this is very unrelated to the topic, but: Udrih was traded to Orlando. also, both Udrih and Dalembert are expiring contracts, meaning they cannot be traded for. on the positive side, the Kings could sign them outright. if that's a good idea is a different conversation.

They can sign them as FAs and that forces them to do something with IT and Chuck or in a general sense, a PG and a center.

uhh...yeah? that's what I was saying. it's not that good an idea though, imo. Beno could be a good, if unlikely, addition, depending on what he wants, contract-wise. Sammy is pretty much done, though.

Actually, it is quite fair to declare you wrong. The known facts do not support your "opinion" in the least. I think it's best to apply Occam's Razor in this instance. Is it more likely that Cousins, who was hit near his knee the last game he played and doesn't have a history of missing games needlessly, was actually hurt or is it more likely that he was lying just to spite you and your opinion of him??

Grant's comments were just as ludicrous and unjustified back then as yours are now. Neither of you have/had a shred of proof whatsoever. You're reaching.

People have been saying that about Sammy for years. Its very bizarre:

Per 36:
done guy: 14.8pts (.564 .712) 12.8reb 0.9ast 0.9stl 2.9blk 2.6TO
Drummond: 13.2pts (.592 .365) 13.7reb 0.8ast 1.7stl 3.1blk 1.5TO

But I doubt it matters because frankly I've gtotten the impression Sammy doesn't want anything more to do with us. Whether a change in managemnet/ownership/coaching would alter that I do not know. Could be Cousins too -- he had to deal with him as a rookie, which couldn't have been fun.

Actually, I think its quite possible to be a troll, and also be stupid. Probably the worse of both worlds.

"done" might have been too strong a word. however, he is supposed to be in his prime and has trouble getting off the bench on a team that, for whatever reason, seems to want to win now ad has been in decline for a few years now. he could still be of service here, but your last paragraph is spot on in that regard. Sammy isn't coming back. still a damn shame the Kings didn't resign him 2 years ago.

Sorry but you are now on my ignore list. You are getting very personal with your insulting comments and I'm trying to stay away from that from now on here. Have a wonderful evening sir.

Lol, this thread has one star and is 14 pages long. We need more distractions, people!

Notwithstanding, I'll weigh in. Is Cousins retarding the advancement of this franchise right now? No. It's built to lose, and has been for a while, from the top on down. His current net impact on the immediate future of this franchise is, on potential and flashes of greatness (which have become consistent if not always sustained) , more positive than negative. And his impact on the longer term future could be off the charts.

Has he improved his overall skill and understanding of the NBA game over the last couple of years, despite the environment? Again, I would say yes. Has he matured as an adult and as a team leader in the way you'd hope between years 1 and 3? No. I'm not sure that he's actually regressed in significant ways but he hasn't advanced very far either. Look, the guy wants to win, and he could do a much better job of making good in a bad situation (which Tyreke seems to be committing to, perhaps related to it being a contract year), but put him in a system that's actually built to win and see if things change ,if he starts moving in a different direction. What do we have to lose in the meantime? It's not like we have to resign him this summer.

You just don't dismiss talent like this unless it is holding back the success of the franchise. This whole nonsense of being mentally weak is preposterous; it's called emotional immaturity and it IS a problem for him right now. However, I'll stick with my feeling that this guy is going to be a dominant force on a winning team someday; I'm going to go ahead and hope it's our team, and that it happens sooner rather than later, but I'll let time take its course and be happy he's on our roster in the meantime and not somebody else's.

You sir, puzzle me. Any time someone calls you out for a flawed argument you get all hurt and say they're personally attacking you. But you have no qualms telling Padrino that he is a horrible human being

What exactly is puzzling about this?
