Breaking News: On Kings.com they announced the Kings Comcast SportsNet California TV Schedule which includes one preseason and 80 regular season games.

It was posted today and lists Kayte as the sideline reporter so apparently her DUI didn't result in a termination, which I'm glad to see.

Nor heard of Haberman and Herenda. Any info?

Not really. Haberman did (does?) A's pre and post game but I don't know anything about Herenda. I was hoping they'd bring in a new version of Kozimor and keep Kayte on the pre and post game where she belongs. She and Richmond could both be analysts and I think it'd make for a better broadcast. As it stands I'll give the new crew a chance but my guess is that I won't be watching many pre game shows.

Here's an idea: Send an email and/or tweet, saying we're really anxious to see our Kings in pre-season play and ask to have ALL the games televised.

I'm sending mine to cgranger@kings.com and tweeting him (Chris Granger) @cgkings

Richmond is a part owner so he gets to stroke his ego as much as he wants, but I would guestimate the odds of him being a better pre/post game analyst than Kayte as basically zero percent.

I know it's hard to believe, but there are still a lot of people who don't have unlimited bandwidth capability. ;) :p

Agreed. Sometimes it slows down to "impossible to download anything" speeds. I live in the country. VERY few options for internet access that is what I would consider to be affordable.

Mitch is probably going to be the fulltime analyst guy. I'd expect a steady diet of Samurai Scot and Doug Christie to fill out the second pre- and post-game analyst role (CSN likes to have two analysts plus the host, with the occasional cut away to the insider and useless Ray Ratto appearance, seeing as how they seem to be the guys from the glory days who hang around at the current regime's events the most. Now that B-Jax is off the T-Wolves coaching staff, I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up in the rotation either.

Going off of how CSN California has handled A's broadcasts, also wouldn't be surprised if we saw Jerry get put on the bench a few games and Scot Pollard (has experience doing Jayhawks games) filling in on commentary, whether we (or he for that matter) like it or not. (CSN has done a similar thing with Ray Fosse on A's broadcasts, benching him for a couple of series a year for the likes of Shooty Babbit or Scott Hatteberg in failed attempts to, I dunno, appeal to younger viewers or something).

Also, prepare to deal with an onslaught of promos for Yahoo Sports Live or whatever they're calling it these days.

And, if we're lucky, fewer Pizza Guys promos.

CSN isn't in charge of the actual in-game broadcast. They only control the pre- and post-game. In-game content is still under the control of the Kings, who made a deal with Comcast Sports Network to carry the games. That's one of the reasons the pre- and post-game stuff is never shown on League Pass.

I wouldn't mind seeing VF21"s game threads again at some point. I know its a ton of work, so understand, if you don't want to, but I do miss them. Just wanted you to know. :)

I'm confused... where would we be able to watch preseason games then? Is there a preseason ticket like the summer league?

If they aren't on CSN or NBA-TV, there are no legitimate ways to watch the pre-season games. (And we do not allow discussion of or links to any illegal streams, etc.)

Dang.. I live in po-dunk country too and I have broadband..... :) But since I am an avid gamer I kind of needed to be in an area that had it I guess?

In years past the NBA channel would air pre-season games on a time delayed type deal.. If the Kings played tonight for instance you might get to see it tomorrow at 6:30am...

Don Geronimo is an official sponsor of the Sacramento Kings LMAO

Oh, I have mid-speed DSL broadband, but I am at the far end of the line and there are times when I can't even connect to the internet. Most of the time it works somewhat OK. Just limits to technology on POTS lines and distance, especially when everyone upstream is hogging all the bandwidth. I tried the fastest connection offered, but the connection wasn't very stable all the time. Drop it down one notch and it was much better, but I still drool over my friend's Comcast connection.

Ironic that I live in Mexico, in baja, and I have excellent internet connection. No electricity at times, but great internet.......
