No thread yet? Huh. Alrighty then:
I was surprised to see Hawes and Westphal hash things over and make it known with such a public display. I guess I'm glad they did it. Such an emphatic showing makes it possible to focus on basketball instead of a whole lot of bad drama. When I want bad drama I tune in to re-runs of the soap opera Passions (sorry they canned ya Bajaden
).
The glimpses of potential this team displays at times makes me salivate. I, as a fan, can always dream of a Larry O'Brien trophy coming to Sacramento, and sometimes the makeup and character of this young team makes it seem quite possible (though, of course, not for a couple of years). Solid performances like the one we all just saw just make me feel real good.

The one question I'm left with coming away from the Jazz game is, "Do we need a solid 16 + / game from Evans's back court mate in order to be competitive?" I'm guessing we do. So, I say the Kings should ride this Beno / Evans back court for a while and see what develops. I'm thinking that it really is a good pairing. It will probably help us determine what kind of guard we should run after in the offseason. I'm not saying Beno is ideal, but I think he definitely belongs in our system.
Oh! And props to everybody who played, I love to watch a damn good game of team basketball every now and then.

AWARD TIME
TDM - C.J. Miles had too good of a game.
LW-VC - Fesenko needs to put in some work
JHA - Omri part II
SAR- Okur looked out of sorts.
RA&1 - Deron Williams was shut down.
WTF moment of the game -What, no "super rookie" Gaines? Come on Sloan.

What do we have here...
A completely healthy Clippers team facing off against a Kings team coming off of a feel good performance against one of the league's hottest teams, the Jazz. I venture to say that this should be a good game. The Clippers have been hot lately as well. They won 3 of their last four, and Kaman being their leader seem to have actually helped them a little. Who would have thought that Chris Kaman would be an All Star or a significant factor, ever?
Predictions:
Kings 100, Clipperrs 96
Pts: Evans 24 / Kaman 22
Asst: Evans 6 / Blake 7
Rbds: Hawes 8 / Kaman 11
Blks: Landry 2 / Kaman 2
Possible Starting Lineups:
Evans / Davis: Expect Davis to underachieve again.
Udrih / Gordon: I hope to see an even match. Udrih is more technically sound.
Casspi / Butler: Casspi, WAKE UP!!
Landry / Gooden: Landry will win.
Hawes / Kaman: Give us another solid game, Hawes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I'm a player for the Kings I want blood. How dare the Clippers believe they should achieve anything? Especially against us! Oh, wait, we have a worse record than them,
still.
GO KINGS!!!
