Nice nice-another winnn!
It seems as if the team is really growing together since KMart is gone.
Weird that Donte played only 6min but who knows maybe next game he will play more (7min)

GO KINGS

I think Donte is a kind of Kings secret weapon/stealth weapon. We save him (or save him from himself) for special match-ups. Like - hey kid, you gotta guard 6'11 Kevin Durant, NBA 2nd leading scorer next game - plus guard him AGAIN during Kings next home game on the schedule. Have fun Donte!

Makes a lot of sense ;) thanks for the clarification!

I think there might actually be some truth to that. Secret/resting.

Great second half too! Landry was very important when the other Kings were struggling. They were able to get the ball on the block to Landry and he added another element to the Kings attack! Big play by Udoka to save the ball and give the Kings another chance! They went up by 3 instead of going down by 1. Really liked the team defense tonight. Even Hawes played good defense against a player he usually struggles against in Kaman. I really liked the way Hawes started the game. He was very good to start the game really setting the tone. Later he played very good defense and held his own. I think Hawes is starting to grow right before our eyes! He is taking ownership of his responsibilities on the court. Hawes was a FORCE in the first half. He caused Kaman to be out of his comfort zone and Kaman would not come out and guard Hawes. And Hawes made him pay several times! Hawes might not have scored in the second half, but he came very close to a double double 16/9 2 assists and 2 blocks!! Good Game!

Cisco is slowly reintegrating back into the team. He is the de facto backup point guard on this team now (far better than wild Sergio by the way...). His shot is starting to come back. And the best part is that Cisco is getting fired up and he is getting his teammates fired up as well! On the floor, in the huddle, and on the sideline. That old Cisco is coming out and it is epidemic with the younger players. He fires his teammates up with his infectious attitude and determination. Love Cisco !!

And really, what can you say about Tyreke? Even though the entire Clippers team was geared to stop 'Reke again, he found ways to involve his teammates and either assist a score, get to the line, or score at the rim. He was having a really tough second half, and they put Razul Butler, a long and feisty defender on him. He was able to overcome and change his game, sort of reinvent himself in the fourth quarter, and still find a way to help his team win! He played great defense (especially on Barron Davis)and the Clippers back court was a combined 7 for 20. Evans finished with 22/5/3 on a BAD night! That is a career game for some guards in this league! This is another game that helps cement 'Reke as the ROY winner! Tyreke Evans is instrumental in helping his team win games. The team has ridden Evans's back on numerous occasions and has come through with a game winner. In fact, he put in a game winner tonight as well. The kid is just unstoppable at the end of games!! Now if he could just hit his darn free throws down the stretch! THAT is an area he needs to clean up. Because he is gonna get fouled even more because of his ability to seal the deal at the end of games. But make no mistake, Evans is ROY and it isn't even close...

And how many of them do? And what has it won them?

Reke is our PG and is already one of the best in the league.Peopel still trying to deny that are just silly. That said, Jerry's comment made me wince, as so many of them do, because it was jsut the standard Jerry used car salesmanship. Why is shotblocking overrated? Because we don't have any. Why are all PGs today scorers? Because we have one. If tommorow we had a shotblocker, shotblockers would suddenly be great cornerstones of our defense. If we had drafted Rubio and he had come over, it would suddenly be so refreshing to see another pass first guy making his temmates better. Its just eternal dishonesty.

he was good in that comeback against the bulls, since then he's been horrrrrible...its a good thing he can play a little bit of defense otherwise he's completely useless

I think that is WHY PW keeps Udoka on the floor. He is a solid defender and a veteran who helps calm the team when the other team is going on a run. Udoka does a lot of the little things that dont show up on the stat sheet that helps you win games. Like that steal and save to keep the Kings in the lead. It helped break the momentum of the Clippers and before you knew it, we were back up by 5 after 2 quick hoops by 'Reke. A play like Udoka's may not show on the stat sheet, but it is just as important as if he sank a 3. That is the other thing Udoka does. Even though he hasn't been on target these last few weeks, he is a threat from the short corner and teams have to respect his shot from there. It helps unclog the lane when Udoka camps out in the corner. I have no problem with Udoka playing late in games because he is a defensive presence, and he will do the hustle things that win games. 5 rebounds and 2 steals in 20 minutes doesn't look like much on the stat sheet, but he had an effect on the game none the less. Go KINGS !! EVANS 4 ROY!

True. Jerry being a homer is kind of an understatement.
