Do you think that the Kings would show any interest in acquiring Chris Kaman this season? It looks like he's on the trading block. He would be a nice 3rd big to build around next to Jason Thompson and Spencer Hawes, and he's only 26 years old. I like his rebounding, and his post presence. Maybe John and Mikki for Kaman, though there are other possibilities for a trade?

Why the Kings do this: Improve post play, and rebounding with a fringe all-star coming into his prime. Would be a nice post presence to play with Spencer and Thompson, while opening up minutes for Dante at the 3 and Jason at the 4 spot. When the contracts of Brad Miller and #9 expire, the Kings frontcourt would be set with Hawes/Thompson/Kaman.
Why the Kings don't do this: Kaman's defense isn't spectacular, and John has been playing out of his mind this year. Kaman is also under contract through 2011, giving us less flexibility there. (My take would be the lineup would be basically set, and we would only be shopping for a PG at that time.
Why the clippers do this: Moves Camby to his natural position at C, and brings in a beast scorer to replace Magette, whom they have missed more than they thought they would. Gets rid of a large conract, to speed up their rebuild.
Why the Clippers don't do this: Mikki Moore and Tim Thomas as PFs?
Kings New Lineup
PG Beno Udrich/Bobby Jackson/Bobby Brown
SG Kevin Martin/Francico Garcia/Quincy Douby/Bobby Brown
SF Francisco Garcia/Dante Greene
PF Jason Thompson/Spencer Hawes/Sheldon Williams
C Brad Miller/Chris Kaman/Spencer Hawes
Any thoughts?
