KT and Mikki aren't winning us games, and they aren't very fun to watch, so I'm thinking it's some combination of trying to keep the vets from rebelling, and trying to get them looking good to prospective trade partners. Well, maybe not GOOD, nothing can do that, but better than they'd look if they'd sat deep on the bench for months. Because otherwise it doesn't make much sense, and isn't consistent with what Reggie has said he's doing: giving the minutes to the guys who put forth the effort. Who are out top scorers per 48? Kevin (30.0), Ron (26.0), Cisco (24.3), John (21.8), Spencer (20.5), Beno (18.3) and Justin (16.0). Mikki? 10.7. KT? 7.6. How about rebounds? Last year Justin led the NBA in rebounds per minute. So far this season, he does too, with 26.7 rebounds per 48. Kenny Thomas is our 2nd best, but he's so much worse that he's in 96th place (11.4 per 48). Mikki grabs 8.7 per 48, which is significantly worse than Brad and about tied with Ron and Spencer. Justin also easily leads the team in offensive boards per 48, snagging over 3 times as many as Brad, Mikki or KT.

Justin's 2.67 blocks per 48 aren't going to land him at the top of the NBA, but he is the only King in the top 50.

Justin turns the ball over more per 48 than Mikki, but less than Brad or KT. Justin also picks up less than half as many PFs per 48 as any of the other bigs.
So the only conclusion I can reach is that if Reggie's basing PT on performance, he's only looking at FT percentage and intangibles. Aside from scoring slightly less per 48 than Spencer, Justin KILLS the competition in every other category. So I don't know what's on Reggie's mind in the PF/C race, but it's not productivity.
