These guys always hustle. That 4th quarter was fun to watch.
Nah.. we'll be down by 40 in the first half. But Boston will get comfortable and we'll only lose by 20.

Yippee! Contraryto popular belief, I am glad the Kings won. They showed a lot of composure down the stretch, ande I believe Reggie can take this team in the right direction.

So. Defensive Matchups for game against celtics? Artest against garnett!!! haha ... Liked the stretch with Quincy, he played well. Don't see why we don't use Justin though... one thing I notice is Justin doesn't seem to be very active on the bench, he always looks stone-faced. Thats just what I feel of course, maybe he's a really good locker room guy

We definitely have the right head coach on the bench during this rebuilding/revamping/whateveryouwanttocallit phase.
That, to me, is very important. It certainly wasn't that way last year.
I love this team - and I love feeling the energy and excitement they're capable of bringing to the court.
I agree. We're no better than last year, but it "feels" different. It feels like there's a real coach in charge.

If you meant to respond to someone telling you how to feel when you said the words "Whatever. I can't root for my team to lose," then you need to become clearer at typing what you mean, because what you claim to have meant is not, in fact, consistent with what you actually said, not within the context of when you said it.
The comment that I reacted to is a direct response to the following quote:
Direct, as in, you said "Whatever. I can't root for my team to lose," directly after that quote, with no modifier of any kind, as if your statement was responding to those exact words. There is nothing within that particular quote which suggests that ZZE016 was telling you how to feel. Absolutely nothing. It's an assessment of the Kings play, and nothing more. But that's what your replied to, anyway, which is why it comes off like you think that saying the Kings aren't any good equates to rooting for the team to lose. If you did not mean to make it sound that way, then you should have made yourself clearer.

I'll agree with that. Reggie has a lot of talent for coaching. While he has not been perfect, by any means, he definitely is pointing the guys in the right direction.
That, to me, is very important. It certainly wasn't that way last year.

Maybe they can learn. In the final possession Beno was bringing up the ball and Cisco was calling for it. I'm screaming at the TV "NO! Give the ball to Brad!" And he did.
Brad rarely makes stupid mistakes. And he just had a great rebound.

Now see this...is where we depart again.
It was a poorly played game we barely won at home against the team with the worst record in the entire league over its last 10 games, playing its final game of a long Western road trip.
In other words, not a good win, unless any win no matter how ugly is a good win. Didn't mean much. And we are almost certain to be 8-13 here in 48 hours. That's all long before the questions about whether wins are really wins for us or not. I will say that if we had lost it things could have gotten really really ugly for us with a long trip coming up, but...San Antonio was a good win. Utah. Now Milwaulkee? Its kind of like looking into a mirror.

Whatever, the kings arent great anyway but but without two of our best players and ron struggling with his shooting...this was a very good win and the fourth quarter was almost flawless. Milwaukee isnt as bad as they have been playing and have some talent, The bench was fantasitc and the kings missed more freethrows and layups than usual.

I think we agree, Brick. It was a good win only in the sense that it was a game the Kings should have won if they are going to make any strides toward respectability. Ugly and poorly played - you bet! But a win never the less.

Then explain to me why you god of culture and mr. steady man. Why in the hell do you do the crap you do. I understand it after a loss. But to come in after a win and act as if it we should all be disappointed. We are not a good team and we won't be this year. so let us enjoy 1 of the 25-30 wins we are going to get this year.

A weak win - I have to agree with Bricklayer on this. Against a team who is as lost as Kings are, trying to find themselves. You can ebb and flow with the losses and few wins, or you can step back and take a higher level view of the Kings situation. Sorry, but things just aren't that good for this franchise.

I think the "higher level view" would be we are a team that lost our starting pg and second leadind scorer to begin the year and are 2 games off losing our leading scorer and the guy that takes pressure off or Ron who is now left with double and triple teams all night. Playing with a pg that didn't go through training camp and started his second game with the team. We are fighting through a rough time right now so yeah is a ****ing good win.

Relative to expectations, this was a good win. I know some want to get more of those losses to hit tank territory, but any win is a good win at this point. Builds character. Brings new dimensions to the team. Learn something new--in this case, that Salmons can play very tough defense.
We are just not an upper-tier team right now, so our expectations cannot be any further than scrutinizing wins carefully and breaking them down into "bad wins", "average wins", or "good wins". Looking at it in that sense is unrealistic, because the way this team is constructed, coupled with the injuries we have, makes it virtually impossible to make it into even the second tier of teams in the league.
Of course the naysayers (although truth-bearers at the same time) are going to say that the Bucks are 2-10 on the road, have lost their last 4 games and are 2-8 in their last ten. But the fact that the Kings can capitalize on those weaknesses, rather than choke upon them and perhaps cause further embarassment, is a good sign at this point.

It's not an either/or scenario. I'm pleasantly happy when the Kings win and mildly disappointed when we lose, because I have low expectations.
That doesn't mean I have no bigger picture view of the Kings as they are and realize there is a lot of work to do and changes to make, before we sniff contender status again.
It is possible to live in the moment and simply enjoy the team's win, without thinking it means anything in the bigger scheme of things.
