Bagley out 4-6 weeks

Kings fans are the "OMG like why does this keep happening to me?" dramatic high school cheerleader of the sports world.

Because we are those hs cheerleaders who barely made it in the team so everything reminds us of what it was like NOT being in the team...

Was the injury during garbage time in the 4th quarter?

I actually have no problem with Walton deciding to play his starters in the 4th. We had a short, disjointed training camp, and last night demonstrated that there is a lack of cohesiveness right now. Garbage time was a good time to give guys some extra time together to try and get a rhythm before Portland. The decision looks awful in hindsight, but it was reasonable in the moment.

Other events have killed my interest in this NBA season. First time Since the kings came here I haven’t given a damn about what’s going on. Does suck to hear guys are getting hurt and that the kings will extend their playoff less streak though. I’ll just lurk here and be an observer to all the usual infighting.

Welp. Warriors just got smacked around like we did and it’s just one game

i doubt their fans are acting like the world is ending, so we shouldn’t either. We’re literally the most resilient fan base and i wanna hope this team is the same way. Let’s kick some blazer BUTT tomorrow, shall we?
Slight difference between the suns and the clippers, but I’m with you. Let’s get that W tomorrow for the home fans

I don't either. If anything the people that quite clearly can't be bothered to play should be forced too as punishment.

I'm sure all the championships will soften the blow. And also the knowledge that their franchise has been and I suspect will be smartly run whatever happens

Us on the other hand....

Nonsense. What's more it's nonsense that is soo peripheral to the discussion it's like an asteroid in the orbit of a planet of a distant galaxy.
If I’m indeed wrong, you certainly haven’t been able to demonstrate it with any data or facts. I guess we should just take your word.

No. This was specifically refuted by medical examinations hired by the Kings before he was drafted They were impact accidents, and by chance, happened on either knee. Issues can linger because of the injury, but he does not have "bad knees".

Any damage to the ligaments in the knee is structural regardless of why it occurred. In 2013 he had basically a full blowout in his left knee. As far as him having bad knees, all we can say is he's had issues enough to miss most of his college career and his first NBA season. The comparison to Bagleys issues are that they are vastly different up to this point in severity and hopefully the issues with both have peaked so they can move past it and put a halt to the injury bug.

The reason this FEELS so bad is because of all the expectation going into the season. You come into the season on a high, expecting a competitive playoff push that begins against the lowly Suns whom we should beat relatively easily, and not only do you lose, but you get demolished in a horrible showing. It's the height of the high and the fall to the low that is so dramatic that makes it feel like such a big deal. All culminated by three injuries, one being serious enough to take out Marvin for a month or more.

But this mean's close to nothing. It doesn't mean we won't make the playoffs, it doesn't mean Luke sucks, it doesn't mean we made a mistake signing Buddy and we should trade fox and bagley while we can. It's one game. One bad game, but one game.

People see what they want to see.

As great as Luka's highlights have been, he's still got real efficiency issues and defensively is a matador that is going to require serious game planning around to hide, which I'm sure Kingsfans would have no issue complaining about were he on the roster.
Exactly

Totally agree.

I purposely avoided this site since Wed night because I knew there would be a nuclear meltdown of epic proportions. And because I was also sick to my stomach and disappointed just like most everyone else. I didn't want to add to the meltdown or regurgitate what everyone else was saying about what they saw.

Now I'm over it and hopeful the team can bounce back. However, hearing the news on MB3 was another gut punch, though. I avoided all things NBA until later in the day and didn't find out when everyone else did.

Welcome to life as a friggen KINGS fan.....

Keep dreaming. The online, armchair GM's are never wrong. And they're here to remind you of it every single day.

Just a reminder that if the Kings did everything exactly as I, a stable genius, wanted them to, they'd have a lineup of
Embiid (but his entire body is superduper healthy because under my regime the Kings would hire a team of mad scientist-types)
AD
Lebron
Kawhi
Russ (only he has a jump shot because we hired the Spurs shooting coach)
with a rejuvenated Pop (he and Kawhi are BFFs in this scenario) as our head coach.

Also, tickets to Kings games would be free.
