Of coure it will be unpopular, but fact is that I had pondered a move for LaFrentz during the previous Kings administration for the very reasons you stated (although occassonally as part of a deal to nab Pierce
).
Thing is that raef a) is not the shotblocker he once was, although he still egts a few; and b) really is not a good defender despite the shotblocking. Very soft. So yeah, he could stay out of Bonzi and ROn's way, but at what cost? Think I'd ratehr got the Tyson Chandler type route (not necessarily him) where the big man stays out of the way just because he has no offensive game, but at least can do all those nifty things you'd like big guys to do -- rebound, board etc.
