Assuming Reke leaves should we go after both Webster/Teague?

Assuming someone over pay's Reke and Kings don't match, should the Kings make a run @ Atlanta PG Jeff Teague who is RFA and Atlanta just drafted "German Rondo" (I forgot him name) who they who rate very highly and might not want to pay a decent figure for Teague. Webster is also in a bit of a pickle since the Wizards got Rice Jr and Otto Porter and Ariza meaning he will probably not be coming back. Webster was a great glue guy for the Wizards and can spread the floor and play a bit of D. Imo if we can get both those guys and if you loss Reke that's fairly good compensation

PG: Teague SG: Big Mac SF: Webster PF: PPat C: Cousins Webster has said he just wants to go to a place where he is wanted http://www.bulletsforever.com/2013/6/28/4474608/nba-free-agency-martell-webster-washington-wizards

You got 2 elite shooters with 2 good shooter and Cousins, Teague and Martell have both shown they are capable defenders and every single player from PG-SF has decent size and great athletic ability. Teague will become the primary shot creator (no more IT...) and he seems like a good character type guy who has worked with talented big's before in Horford and Smith so him and Cousins probably wouldn't be to bad.

Even if we resign Reke we should definitely go after Webster he is the solution to our SF woes, he wouldn't command that much money either I don't think

I would sign both of them, if Reke leaves. But Webster could be the solution for our SF-Need even if Reke stays in Sacramento. He wont demand too much money and will be a valuable piece of the bench at worst. Sign him on a reasonable contract and see if he can fill the starting role. If it doesnt work the Kings still can draft a SF in 2014. I consider the chance of signing a player like Webster much higher as the chance of persuading Iggy to become a part of the Kings.

I would love Teague, just not at the expense of losing Tyreke.

Based on Voisin's column today, I do not think we're going to be saying goodbye to Evans.

Listening. Looking. Eager to act and willing to spend, but unwilling to deal Evans unless the earth moves, Sleep Train Arena shakes, and a star drops into the Kings' laps. Cousins currently is an untouchable. Evans is a player. With a new coach and new front office, that's where it starts.

I'm pretty sure Teague isn't the kind of player she's referring to as "a star" dropping into the Kings' laps.

What is this sudden interest in Martell Webster? He shoots threes. That's about the extent of his game. Complete journeyman.

If Tyreke leaves, I would hope to god that we go after a SF like Kirilenko, or Korver etc. Iggy anyone?

Because he's not a ball stopper and is a guy who would complement Reke and Cousins while providing shooting and some D and after watching Travis Outlaw, Salmons and James Johnson for a whole season a journeymen is a massive upgrade to three utter scrubs who don't fit into the team. He's also cheap in terms of money unlike Ak47 (who is always injured) and Iggy. I don't understand how we wouldn't have interest in him considering the trash we have.

The same goes for Korver and Webster is younger, more athletic and a slightly better defender in my opinion. Considering the fact, that the Kings have to sort out some issues to reach the cap space they need, to sign a potent FA for the SF-Position and the targeted players (Iggy f.e.) will be in touch with a number of teams, Webster is a solid solution for our SF-needs. He is still an upgrade over Johnson or Outlaw.

No, they both would do nothing for us. Epsecially when trying to stomach such a significant loss in Evans

Jeff Teague is a excellent player how would that not do nothing for us? So having a above average PG (which we have not had since Bibby) and a solid 3 glue guy with the addition of already having a new young SG would do nothing for us.......Both would fit in easily, again I would rather keep Evans but if he's going to leave imo this is very good compensation. Lets not act like Reke is a top 5 player and Teague is just some scrub.
