Artest or Bibby, who would you rather see gone?

Bibby or Ron...Who do you want gone?

I say both should be dealt too.

But Ron has been a ball hog who isn't really as talented offensively as defensively. IF we draft a big guy, Bibby will get better, wide open shots and possibly go back to his old shape, a sharpshooting point guard.

Then again, if we are really going to "rebuild" rebuild, Ron's contract is much better than Mike's one.

I think both should be gone too, but Artest at least brings it every night defensively. Bibby is like a one trick pony. And he's losing his ability to do that one trick. The last time I remember Bibby playing the way he should, was years ago against the Mavericks in the playoffs when Bibby went head to head against Nash. In that series Bibby used to penetrate the lane like he owned it. He drove the hoop, drew fouls, and then just when he had you on your heels, he would pull up and drain the outside shots. That Bibby is no more, the fire, the will, just seems to be gone.

So does the supporting cast.

Believe me, I'm not on the boat for keeping Mike at all costs and think there are a variety of reasons he should probably be dealt if the right parts come along. But I refuse to join in with the thought that he's all of a sudden become worthless. He's not. He just happens to be on a crap team.

That's what I'm thinking too. Like GoGoGadget, I'm not on that boat of keeping Bibby too but I don't think it's all Bibby's fault he sucked last season. :p

I agree with that but here is the thing, we won't be able to put together a supporting cast anywhere near as good as the one he enjoyed in his career here. It will take us at least 2-3 years to get a solid young core and by that time Bibby's contract is up and he is over 30 which pretty much makes him unrequired player.

Bibby on the right team can still be a contributor that he was for us but we are not building that team any time soon so might as well send him somewhere where he can play well and enjoy the rest of his career.
