are the heat tanking?

Some of the games WE'VE played are winnable. ;)

I haven't watched them, so I couldn't say.

But I doubt Pat Riley is trying to lose games.

They are not. Riley is just in trouble and doesn't know how to get out of it. Plus, Wade has no heart. Being the leader of that team, he should win at least 25 games this season. I just don't see him being able to accomplish just that. How sad. Wade over Kobe, huh? LMAO!

Hmmmm... are the Heat tanking?

My guess is if they weren't before, the probably are by now. Just really no point in them doing anything else.

I don't think that Wade has no heart. He led them to the title two years ago, and had that unbelievable series against Dallas where it was just basically him. Last year he had them at around .500 for the first half without Shaq before he was injured. He was coming off a major injury, so I think that is a big factor, plus the parts they surrounded him with are pretty bad. I think the losing has taken its toll and he may not be into it as much, but you can't blame him when he puts up 30 + points and the rest of the team doesn't do anything.

They're a d-league team which happens to have Wade and Marion. Riley's been imploding the team for a while. It wouldn't hurt for him at all to tank a few along the way with rebuilding around Wade. Beasley, Marion, Wade sounds like a nice fit.

They signed a bunch of veterans, won a title, and then those veterans aged poorly. I do think there's something else going on there - Shaq magically got a lot better when he moved to Phoenix and Ricky Davis has played much better in Boston and Minnesota than he's playing in Miami right now. I think you've got a bunch of guys on that team right now that are just punching the time clock. Wade was injured at the start of the season, they lost a lot of games, and now there's less motivation to play hard. But Wade's been trying, he's just not 100% yet. And you know Marion is trying. I think they'll be better than they have been the rest of the season and getting Haslem back will be part of that. If Marcus Banks can get the starting PG spot that'll help too. And, come to think, that number 1 pick will probably help a lot too.

I notice it's mostly the bad teams that seem to be beating the kings by double digits with someone having a career game. Might be an overconfidence in self or a complete lack to defend guys like Warrick, Atkins, and Przybilla aka Bill Russell.

Wade is a quitter. Kobe would still get that team to the playoffs as Miller said. What happened to the Heat is unthinkable. They got hammered by the Lakers tonight!!!!!

He sure looked heartless and disinterested tonight vs. Kobe.
