Anyone interested in some Seattle goods?

If we wanted to become a run and gun team Ridnour could be the perfect PG, and we could use a 7 footer anyway. But I don't know what we would give them. Maybe Artest?

Actually, this could be a nice way to start off the rebuilding period. We get Ridnour who is relatively young if I'm not mistaken, a young big, I'm thinking Sene, but Petro would also do. Along with our pick (probably someone like Brewer (if he falls to us), Wright or Green) we would have a very nice group of young players.
Of course, we would still have alot of work to do, but maybe one of the bigs could turn into starter material on a 'chip team or at the very least a defensive big backup (Sene ala more athletic Diop).

But I would have no idea as to who we would give them without giving up Martin and Garcia.

If they want to keep Allen and Lewis, and are looking for some veteran help, I would think Bibby and/or Miller could be possible options.

I don't know if I want to commit to that crappy of a defensive pg.

True, and that's one of the reasons I like getting a guy like Law, Collison, or Conley who already are/have all the tools to become a good defender. But I don't see a lot of teams wanting to trade their picks. Plus you already know Ridnour is a decent young NBA PG. I am pretty sure Ridnour/Martin would compliment eachother on offense but on D they might be pretty bad. But it's not like Martin doesn't have the tools to improve defensively either. I dunno.

I'm not sure that they'd want Miller's contract, but SAR + Salmons for Ridnour + Sene is a legal trade which doesn't require sacrificing any youngsters, and trims our payroll budget a bit.

Makes some sense if you think about it, but only if Seattle could get another pick and draft someone like Conley, otherwise they'd be pretty thin at PG.
It would seem that with what Sund said they're trying to win now?? Maybe they're looking for an impact player who, along with a good pick and offseason, can get them back in the POs. Just a thought.

I'd really rather have their pick than their 7-footers already. Maybe they'd be wiling to swap if we sweetened it up enough.

With them wanting to win now, and us going young, I could see the makings of a deal. Especially if they hire Adelman

Ridnour just isn't good enough on offense to justify how bad he is on defense, and Watson isn't good enough on defense to justify how bad he is on offense.

I like Watson, and last season it looked like he had really improved his shooting, but he went back to shooting bricks this season. Also, Watson is already 27 and is turning 28 in June. He's not that young.

I think Petro shows some potential, if we could get him on the cheap, great, but otherwise I am not much interested in what the Sonics have to offer.

I don't want any of their junk. I'll take their pick though.

I'm sure Miller would love lake Washington for his fishin'.

Why? Didn't he actually own Bibby in the playoffs a couple years ago?

And then there's something else to think about... when you haven't got a lot to offer, you aren't going to get a lot. Bibby + KT for Barbosa + Stoudemire may be a legal trade, but it ain't happening.

Lowered expectations!
