Am I reading this right? You don't think 24-25 shots a game (which is what Iverson is averaging and is about a third of his team's total shots) is a lot?Same with AI. He doesn't take too many shots, but he shoots a lot of free throws.
Okay then...well, if they don't want a star player, and are just looking to the future, I've got the deal for them:
Sacto IN:
Allen Iverson ($18.3mil)
Sacto OUT:
Corliss ($6.5mil ENDING)
Potapenko ($3.7mil ENDING)
Hart ($1.7mil ENDING)
Taylor ($1.1mil ENDING)
Price ($0.7mil ENDING)
Douby ($1.2mil)
Garcia ($1.1mil)
----------------
$16.0mil
Voila!
Me for GM.
Then, when running our Bibby/Iverson two-headed point guard to start, we may actually get to see Team Dime storm the floor and take the ball away from Allen so that Mike can shoot a couple of times. Given the inexplicable popularity of professional wrestling, this should help put butts in seats.
There ought to be a fine for presenting some writer's conjecture as if it were a scoop! Shame on you jay dubb![]()

You know, for a girl who likes tatoos you don't really seem to be into the spirit of this whole A.I. mighty mite thing.![]()
Well that would be yummy. Soon therafter maybe we can just let one Geoff Petrie walk as well as he will have a done a remarkable job of completely wiping out our talentbase in the space of about 3 years and will be living off of one good late round pick.
mr. moustache said:People mention Miller and Martin as players that don't need a lot of shots. I think the deceiving thing with Martin is his FT attempts. Pretend the ref swallowed the whistle and all of the sudden Martin is taking more shots. Miller on the other hand doesn't shoot many FTs, so it's a little more honest with him.
Ric Bucher just said on mike and mike that Iverson will be traded to the Kings
From what I've read this morning....Golden state seems to be offerring Baron and some young guys. That seems to be the leading offer at this point.
But who the hell really knows?
And I would think that would be a reason he wouldn't want to go to Philly.Interesting side note:
Bibby in Philly means his dad would be one of his coaches.
Maybe Bibby will opt out, maybe he won't. Its speculation. But if Philly wants Martin and Garcia as part of the deal, do you think the Kings should say yes? I don't like that offer.

This is my new guess:
Mike Bibby
Kenny Thomas
Vitaly Potapenko
Francisco Garcia
1st
for
Allen Iverson
Samuel Dalembert
Kevin Ollie
Also, those "flexible" pieces are starting to look more flexible, aren't they?
On the rise guys this morning, they said a "source close to the team" told them the Sixers want Bibby, Martin and Garcia for AI, but the Kings balked at that.
If we can get Dalembert in the deal I'm all for it.
