Acy or Moreland?

If you had to choose one, which big would you rather have?

Since we still have the option of picking up or declining Acy's option, I thought I would post this question.

If we only had space for either Acy or Moreland, who would be your pick?

On one hand you have Acy, who has shown that he can play at the NBA level. He plays with toughness, hustle, and energy every time he steps onto the floor. He's still young and has seemed to improve his jumpshot this offseason, but he doesn't project to be a player that would fit well next to Cousins as a starter.

On the other hand you have Moreland, who possess the height, length, and athleticism you look for in a running mate next to Cousins. He has the potential to be that defensive, shotblocking presence we need next to Cousins, but he hasn't shown himself at the NBA level yet.

Do you take the guy who has shown himself at the NBA level, but doesn't project to be a player that could start with Cousins or do you take the player who has the potential to be Cousins' running mate, but has not shown how his skills translate against NBA level competition?

Personally, I'll go with Moreland every day of the week. Acys are a dime a dozen in this league. Players with Moreland's potential are more difficult to come by.

I want both, but i really like Morelands possible upside playing next to Cousins. Its too bad we have too many PFs on this team. We need to make a trade much like the Cavs just did and free up some room.

I didn't vote. Trades are coming up, so you should probably add some of the other players on the roster. I'd like to see us find a way to keep both Acy and Moreland. They both bring their own unique 'intangibles' and fit right in with our young up and coming squad

We should have both but if i had to chose it would be Moreland because of his height, rebounding, and of course shot blocking

Tough question... but Moreland wins because of need. We should keep them both however you can't have enough guy's like Acy around and he's still developing could be a great guy to back up Rudy long term giving other teams a completely different look when Rudy takes a breather.

Actually, he hasn't really. He's a great guy to have at the end of your bench because of every factor you just mentioned, but he didn't really produce much in the minutes given last season. The jumper he displayed in SL may honestly extend his career by 5 seasons, if he shows it's legit.

If you had to take one, you grab Moreland. For me, it's about looking at the max potential of both guys. If Moreland hits, then we found Cuz a bigs partner and fill a team need for a long time. If Acy hits, you find a rotational bench big.

So if we claim Omri off waivers add a Mil in Payroll and have 13 contracts

If we don't waive Acy , we have 14 contracts and we are done unless a trade

If we could sign Moreland to a Non-guar contract , we could also sign Marchon Brooks to a non-guar contract

so there is some competition in Training camp

If I had to choose one, I'd go with Moreland because we have a glut of forwards that will see playing time ahead of him.

Teams can only have 15 players after the preseason. They can sign several more if they want. The hard cap is still about $5 million away.

Moreland for me. At this point Q is still unproven in the league and even then he doesn't exactly fill a need for us. Great energy and character guy to have but you have to take a flyer on Moreland becoming that elusive shot blocker we really need.

Moreland because he offers the shot blocking we been looking for.

I would keep both if possible though. Acy is a energy/hustle , glue type player every team needs.

Moreland has more potential to be what we need.

I still like Acy as bench rah rah guy, but damn if we don't unclutter his position we're going to lose him just to numbers.

I would keep both Moreland and Acy.

Acy's minimum contract would be very tradable in a trade, if the kings need a filler for salary cap purposes.

He's the type of hustle role player types that coaches love. He could help the kings or be a tradable asset. Hopefully the kings can package some PF together for another impact player.

I like them both a lot. We all do. But Moreland is the guy you keep.

If I had any faith in the front office I'd say the Kings keep them both, but who the hells knows whats going on over there.

Moreland has the physical tools we're looking for, but Acy has shown that he can play at the top level.

So if it's a death-is-not-an-option choice, Acy.

Part of "NBA 3.0" is not being able to predict every move that is going to be made. It creates more entertainment and interest in the journey towards a goal....and in the process, it enhances the brand :D

So if Acy 's deadline was just extended to Aug 15th

Does that mean FO has a backup plan if Moreland does not sign with kings?
