A world's first, this groundbreaking 'frankenrobot' runs on a creepy animal's brain

"Living brain tissue" definitely sounds better than "cultured rat neurons."

"Cultured rat neurons" both grosses me out, and provides the amusing image of a robot who loves the opera but can't stop chewing the program.

this gives hope to my dream that my consciousness will be transferred into robot form before i die. they just need to invent a machine 100,000 times more complex before then. i basically live on the internet anyways, why waste space with a body to keep my brain alive?

Not to bring "god" into this but people say that animals have "souls". Since the robot is living, and learning from mistakes this mean it has a soul, and is aware?

Sometimes your mind amazes, entertains and amuses - all at the same time.
