…which would be a really strong starting lineup with a lot of size, length, and defense while having two excellent go-to scorers in Irving and Davis. Then they’d have a very strong trio off the bench in DeRozan, Marshall, and Thompson/Christie.
To close games, they could go with their starting lineup or they could shift Davis to C, Washington to PF, and have DeRozan close games out at SF.
To your point, DAL has a lot of great defenders and who have excellent length (Davis, Lively, & Washington) but also have some snipers (Irving & Thompson) to keep the floor spaced for him. I like the fit a lot especially if he can buy into the 6th man role.
