At what point or game #, do they need to take the odds for this particular draft seriously?

Top four odds are over thats fantasy land talk at this point Brooklyn might win 8 games after they trade MPJ, we’re not catching Washington or Indiana, and somehow NO can’t win games with the talent they have. Cooked odds on the back of vets that won’t be here in two years

Y’all know I’m fully capable of massive voice to text mistakes all on my own.
riiiiiiight.....

I love how this board is constantly preaching "tanking" for “future success,” as if that’s something we have a history of. If you’re under 20, the Kings have never been good. If you’re older, congratulations, you witnessed it exactly once.

I’ll take joy when it’s actually happening. Nobody has a clue what the future looks like. They could draft AJ Dybantsa, botch his development, and ship him out once he’s had enough.
Thank you!!

This tanking crap is getting so irritating. Oh no we won? Crazy talk. As if high pick automatically means a HoF pick.

We have a 4th overall pick on our team right now!

Can we just enjoy a win. Ive said it a million times, its way too early to root for losses. Talk to me with 10 games left in season

Relax. I really doubt we're going to end up significantly higher than where we currently stand, so I think the draft odds will still be in our favor at the end of the day.
We were second. After the three game win streak to nowhere we are 4th out of the best odds. Our next game is against Washington which we will probably win and put us with more wins than Brooklyn.

I would too if my previous employer treated me that way.
Has your previous employer given you millions of dollars garanteed prior to letting you go?

I think you would live with getting fired and still getting paid millions by that same employer. Who btw gave you a chance when you where dead In the water.

Novody wanted Mike before he got to the kings. Now hes coach of the Knicks.

He should he kissing the Kings ass

DeRozan played 41 mins and Westbrook played 39. Watch Indiana strategically manage a top 3 pick and make another deep run next season, while developing a top young talent

Yeah, but imagine being deeply passionate about a project—so much so that your contract gets renewed, clearly signaling they want you to continue. Then, out of nowhere, you’re fired.

I don’t know if your previous employer ever gave you projects you genuinely cared about.

As cynical as I have gotten as an old man, even I'd say money isn’t always the answer to everything.

He held out until he got paid. He didnt take some kind of pet project. Mike isnt that generous.

I get your angle but regardless the kings resurrected Mike's career.

The Knicks will end it.

Mike walking away without saying anything to former players and coaches says a lot about character. Suck it up and shake hands man. You got a cheer coming back here. Thats all the respect you need.

I didnt want Mike fired. But I also dont feel sorry for him

I mostly agree with everything you’ve said.

That said, what I dislike most is how this situation was handled. It reminds me of when our silent GM chose not to step in and clear the air, instead letting our star player take the fall on his own. Or when the Boogie man was informed of his future during All-Star Weekend.

You can analyze the situation and label winners and losers, but no one deserves that level of disrespect, employee or not.

He looked down there at the buzzer and Brown had turned away and didn't look back. Jordi Fernandez doesn't acknowledge Christie either
Whoa, what's the scoop on that? Was Christie resented by the Brown people for being an inherited staffer?
Tank commander Zach making an appearance.
Kayte during the broadcast was saying the Nicks defensive strategy wasn't as much "to get the ball out of the hands of DDR as to"... but caught herself from what she was starting to say: "...as to get the ball INTO the hands of Zach Levine." She recovered with "...as to create chaos for the Kings."

He's been very classy about the Kings, thanking Vivek for the opportunity and his raising the fans. Mike has continued to be a consummate professional.

Yeah, because Doug Christie or any of the Kings players were his former employer, right?

The dude is just being petty. Fox ain’t here anymore and Sabonis wasn’t even playing, whichever was the one that didn’t like him.

Far as I can tell, Brown got what he deserved. Especially so if not following the direction of his employer.

Before the mid-season cup Mike was very complimentary of the Kings while Fox was saying "Grass is greener". Brown actually did acknowledge everything you said. Said Vivek gave him a shot when nobody else wanted to. He was thankful.

now just in general thoughts:

I went to a Portland game last year after Doug was coach and wanted to get my old 2001 hat signed, they blew a lead and lost and he ran off the court (I had courtside seats). I talked to someone who said had they won he'd have done it. So... Maybe Brown just upset to lose his homecoming in a blow out and GTFO of town. That's allowed.
