I feel like the offensive struggles are all mental with Keegan, maybe a dash of the bulking messing with his muscle memory.

I'm unfamiliar with any injuries he's sustained that could mess up his shooting, but I know he's banged up right now.

I'm still on Keegan Copium btw, hopefully he and Doug figure it out, because we need him to go back to being an elite 3 'n D guy for us.

Doug Christie in post game:

"mistakes are going to be made, don't look over here, keep playing, play through them, it happens. This game is actually about who makes the least amount of mistakes, so they're gonna get made, it's not a big deal. If they're super big, then we'll take a timeout and talk about it. The point is you continue to play with aggressiveness"

This is the difference
Love the philosophy and it’s a contrast with Brown. One of my biggest frustrations with him is he never showed the patience and consistency with dudes like Keon, Queeta, Sasha, etc. He often went with the vets he trusted, like Javale and Duarte.

Yes, but they do not sell widgets. They are in a business that relies to some significant extent on fan engagement and loyalty, as well as being able to recruit top talent. Maybe they think they can just win their way out of this weirdness?
Agree.

That said, if we keep winning, no one will care. Obvious I know, but still sometimes lost sight of.

Does not excuse the behavior though. At the minimum, a press conference where questions are answered and Brown thanked for his services, and for turning the team around, were required.

So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

I watched the Luke Walton presser real quick, Monte spoke for ~90 seconds before going to Q&A.

I'm curious since the media had a huge part in strong arming the org to give Brown an early extension if they just made the decision that it would be better to play the next 4-5 games and let the results speak for themselves then turn over to a hostile press corps that hates team ownership for petty reasons. I'm also sure that's a big reason they didn't feel like giving Brown his flowers on the way out since he strong armed the team in the offseason for an early raise and extension.

Obviously it's been a week now and maybe some comment is warranted but I went back last year when Doc took over the Bucks and they did the press conference a day or two afterwards. Maybe something will come in due time, but as the week went on it is feeling like this is the right call and while I am still uneasy about Fox's long term future it is also feeling like this was a case of the whole team tuning Brown out than any single player leading a mutiny.

If you check, every single time we’ve won 2-3 in a row, we have an injury to an important player that throws us off into another losing streak. Of course Fox is hurt now smh this season is so effing terrible
And in a pretty big game between two teams fighting to get into the play in/last playoff spot currently. That said, if he's hurting, let him get back right. There is a lot of season left and you don't want him hobbling out there and risk hurting himself worse or injuring something else.

I thought this was a pretty impressive game from De'Aaron Fox. It had all the makings of a classic slump game where Fox feels the physicality of the defenders, settles for clanking jumpers, and just sort of fades into the background. Yes, he did end up clanking a bunch of outside shots, but he also found that extra gear we've all been talking about. He kept attacking. And kept attacking. And the whistles were a come-and-go proposition, but I loved that he sought the paint with a will, and it helped the Kings stay aggressive in the fourth while Memphis was playing pesky and defiant.
I remember watching a wildlife series where a cheetah mom chases down and deliberately disables its prey for her cubs to engage in their mini-hunt. She's always on alert and is ready to subdue if the prey is about to escape. Sometimes he does remind me of that cheetah.
