2022 Everything Free Agency/Trades Thread

Memphis? Golden state? Okc?

For Durant?

I don’t think either of those teams have anything to offer. Sign and trade Ayton? That’s not nearly enough. Booker? Maybe but how much longer can CP play

Soooo…..what are we giving up to make durant a king? Going out on a limb here, but I think we would end our playoff drought with him on the team

De’Aaron, the rest of the roster (minus Barnes, who we trade for Collins), every first for a decade.

A live body
Who cares
KD
Collins
DeMarcus (we also resign DeMarcus)

LETS GOOOOOOOOOO

Wild, with his buddy Kyrie opting in and everything!

Indeed. I know one of the major reasons that Harden wanted out was because he was upset with Irving's lack of availability due to the personal decisions Irving had chosen to make. Durant and Irving are pretty good friends, from what I understand, but I'm guessing Durant just doesn't consider him a reliable partner anymore. And Ben Simmons has hardly proven to be a reliable presence in the last few years, either.

I say to start fox barnes holmes picks is what will be looked at as a starting point. Dont know the math so dont kill me

Capt, looking at our current cap situation, whats the most we can sign DDV to now, since we didn't extend the QO?

I wonder if its a situation where DDV agent said they are looking for 4 years/$60 mil contract and Monte told them no, but good luck with that. I won't extend the QO, go ahead and test the waters yourself and comeback with an offer sheet and give me a chance to beat it. Otherwise Adios.
If we didn't renounce his bird rights then a max contract.

I still see the DDV proponents tap dancing around the question of; what do you think he'll fetch on the open market? Seems like this thread started with posters talking about 10mil a year for DDV and him starting and will end with him taking considerably less to play a backup role..

Giving him the qualifying offer so we can rescind it by July 13th?? whats that accomplish? Seems like an exercise in futility.

Who cares what he’ll fetch.

Heat can offer Herro, Robinson, Lowry, Strus, Vincent and picks. The Suns can offer Ayton in a S&T, Bridges, Cam Johnson, Payne and picks. Wonder what combination the Nets will go for.

Seems big. Send him to basketball hell for the whole Kyrie fiasco.

Durant's rep is going down, down, down. No one can dismiss his talent, but his team-jumping Kyrie-loving self makes him look really bad. I just hope whatever team he goes to is gutted by the trade. I wonder if his agent and NJ are calling the Warriors?:D

well good news for guys like us that aren't going after KD can maybe get some FA's now because several teams im sure just went into pause mode

Yeah, just give NJ Booker, Ayton, Bridges, Cam Johnson and some 1st rounders and gut the Suns for perpetuity. Durant can play with over-the-hill Paul and nada.

Unfortunately I think a lot FAs will be doing the same thing now too though. Waiting to see how this KD thing plays out

I can't see the Nets picking up the phone if Butler wasn't included as well. I thought NJ was a cluster, but I didn't think it would implode this fast.

In this scenario KD would want to play with someone like Butler I would think. He's smart enough to not go to a team in a lateral move.

I haven't been following this very closely because I just don't have the energy to keep up with the Kyrie and KD drama, but my understanding was that Kyrie opting in wasn't to necessarily play for the Nets, but for Brooklyn to be able to trade him. Otherwise he'd have to sign with the team of his choice for the MLE or whatever caproom they might have available.

I think the odds are good that both are gone from the Nets this offseason.
