Per Hollinger at athletic this morning
- If Richaun Holmes can’t find a payday from Toronto — a likely outcome if the Raptors take Dragic in a sign-and-trade — he may end up squeezed in this market. That could see him returning to Sacramento on an “Early Bird” deal for $11 million; such a deal could end up being a two-year deal with a player option that would let him test the market again next year.
Is that one of those "wink-wink" two year deals?
"Free Agency talks can start at 6"
Ah yes, the time-honored tradition where the NBA does like 1 billion dollars worth of contracts in roughly 5 minutes without ever talking to each other beforehand. Of course, of course.
It has to be a 2 year deal minimum.I'd be fine with a 1+1 deal and does make a ton of sense from Holmes side too. Gets another year to show he's a stud and unlocks full-bird rights with the Kings for a bigger extension while still having the option of hitting UFA in his prime.
Because joemama said so?How do we know it was botched?
the Hornets are actually going to have all the Ball brothers on their roster
That way only one team has to put up with Lavar Ball.the Hornets are actually going to have all the Ball brothers on their roster
2 Balls are better than 1?the Hornets are actually going to have all the Ball brothers on their roster
They’ve got all three!2 Balls are better than 1?
That’s been the obvious basis for a deal for some time now. A matter of what else is involved because the Harris contract is huuuuuge

holmes better be getting 16 reb a night with that lineup.Fox Mitchell
Hali Davis
Barnes MLE
Tobias Metu
Holmes Queta
that would probably be the most complete team we have had in the last 15+ years. Not saying much but still
This is basically the “early bird” we’ve all been expecting right? Approximately 4/$47-50 mil
That’s a pretty good deal if that’s what we get him for. 60 million is a little too rich for my taste
