Utah actually seems a lot scarier than I thought they'd be. They held LAC to 47 points in the first half of their game and looks like they coasted to the finish. Still don't like only winning by one on our home floor. But it was a gritty win. Anyone figure out where Keon's flop was?
Utah has a recent history of starting the year really strong only to decide to employ the tank somewhere around Thanksgiving.

Anytime the Kings' play their butts off and come off with a win it's entertaining for me. LaVine was good in the clutch this time. Kudos to him and Christie, who I am assuming had something to do with putting him in the right positions to be successful. On the other side of the ledger, I continue to hate the minutes that Westbrook is being given at the expense of Ellis, Max, Isaac, or just about anyone else. And why Sacric gets one minute of playing time at the expense of Max is beyond me.

The Kings are now 1-1 against the bottom dwellers of the West. They won at home against Utah by one point. Their performance thus far hasn't changed my mind about their prospects for future success. Looking forward I think it's going to be a very rough road for them. The only question I have is when exactly they change course and get serious to develop with the younger cohort of this team.

and if not a fortunate bobble and bounce to Sabonis on that last rebound, it's another loss

I once ordered it not knowing what tripe is but wanting to try something different...when this white veiny thing came out on the plate, I realized I'd got my wish!

So they just gave it to you in a pile, not in some kind of delicious broth?!

Try it in menudo, pho, or if you're lucky enough to ever go to Florence, in one of their street vendor tripe sandwiches!*

*they use the cow's stomachs that are illegal in the US!

they brought it out on a plate, as you would a steak. It wasn't bad though, and the cuisine you described sounds like something I'd definitely try!

Really good in stews and soups. You can eat it individually but in a lot of cases you wind up with an, err, aftertaste that can be a little distracting.

Interesting, now I'm gonna have to go down some tripe recipe rabbit holes!

Well, I just realized my entire engagement in this game thread has been tripe related! So obligatory "How about that Domas game winner?!!"

Jason Kidd had to say this about the fans of his team. It could easily apply to the Kings:

"I think they have a right to vent, but there's a patience [needed]. It's a different team. It's a new team. We're just getting to understand each other. We're going to keep learning each other."

The difference is that Dallas fans have a new 19 year old potential superstar who will hopefully give them a decade plus of things to cheer for. They may be still pissed from the Luka trade but our fan situation is quite different.

He's also literally averaging 30.5 PPG on 65%TS, which is incredible scoring
Also De’Aaron Fox is currently 0 for 0 from three because he’s still recovering from finger surgery and a mysterious hammy injury.

(Also ironically, the one piece the Spurs sorta appear to be missing is a pure shooting guard like Zach Lavine)

Yeah with Wemby behind him LaVine makes some sense for SA.
