[Game] California Classic Day 2: Actual Kings Players vs San Antonio Spurs (Night game)

With the Kings dire need for size in the front court, I could see Issac Jones making the team as a defensive 3/4/5, paving the way to give the other 2 way spot to Boogie Ellis.

    Monte McNair

The main point of giving up a pick swap would to make sure the Kings are a playoff team come 2031. If we are a perennial playoff team, then swapping say the #21 pick for the #27th would be worth getting DDR today. Now Monte and the Kings have great motivation to stay good and relevant 7 years...

    Monte McNair

Monte definitely needs to fill out the roster with some size, I’d have Paul Reed, P. Achiuwa, C. Osman agents on the phone right now. No time to take a break and celebrate Monte, fill out this roster with some size and defense.

    DeMar DeRozan Rumor

Yes, ideally, I would prefer to keep both Lyles and HB. I would actually like to keep HB off the bench, he would provide good size off the bench, something we were seriously lacking against teams like NO last year

    DeMar DeRozan Rumor

I like the idea of getting DDR in that he can provide that solid solid scoring punch and hopefully won’t cost an arm and a leg to get. If we can send out only Huerter and cap filler (Duarte or Lyles) and a couple of 2nd round picks, we keep our flexibility to re-sign Fox and hopefully a max...

    Chris Duarte to Kings

If he could somehow start playing like that in a Kings uniform, he would actually become a helpful rotation player

    Cali Classic Rosters announced

I wouldn't be surprised if Drew Timme made the roster as a 3rd center. The dude can get you some easy buckets inside, pass and rebound. I can see him as a 3rd center on our squad.

    No summer league for carter

TBH, I’m surprised Timme hasn’t got a shot on another team yet. He was lights out scoring inside in college and his game is kinda similar to Domantas in that he is super effective down low, can board, can pass and put a body on people but can’t block too many shots. He could become a very good...

    DeMar DeRozan Rumor

Yeah, if he takes the MLE from someone, we are sunk. Big name players always go to the high profile teams like Lakers or Miami when the money is equal. If we are not able to offer more money, then we aren't going to get him :(

    DeMar DeRozan Rumor

My guess would be that he would want something close to what he made on his last contract which is about $28-29 mil/ year. So, I'm guessing it's going to take Huerter and Lyles (or HB and Duarte) contract (for salary match) and about $83-87million/3 years to get a deal done.

    DeMar DeRozan Rumor

I don't think we need to include any 1st round picks in a sign and trade for DeRozan. Huerter and salary cap filler and maybe a 2nd rounder should be enough, since he wasn't going to re-sign with the Bulls anyway and this is just a way for them to get some value back for assisting in a sign and...

    Kings after Ingram

I'm expecting more trades to be finalized once we get closer to the end of the Saturday, July 6th 12:01pm moratorium. Teams may be trying to jockey for the best possible deal but once moves can be made official, I expect these GMs will be pulling the trigger on the trades being discussed.

    Kings after Ingram

Shoot, if WCJ is available, I may just prefer to ship HB or Huerter out for Wendell Carter Jr straight up and keep all of our picks, instead having to overpay BI next summer.

    Potential Free agent/trade/sign tracker

I'm sensing that Monte is trying to make a bigger splash than just signing one of the bench wings on the market for the standard $27mil/3 year deals going around the last couple of days. DeRozan would be a big splash and a very good Small Forward, but would push Keegan to the PF. With the high...

    [NBA] 2024 Free Agency mega-thread

If Chicago added a couple of first round picks to unload LaVIne, then he may be worth a shot. If he could transition to Small Forward, he may be have a role on this team.

    Potential Free agent/trade/sign tracker

That sucks.... players are dropping off like flies.... Monte needs to get moving or we're going to be stuck with nothing again....

    Potential Free agent/trade/sign tracker

Monte should throw a 4 year full MLE contract at Tobias Harris and see if he can get him to sign. I would rather sign Tobias Harris as a FA instead of giving up multiple assets for some of the other guys rumored right now.

Sucks, looks like Jalen Smith is off the board to Chicago.... Monte better make a deal soon or everyone will be off the board! https://www.yahoo.com/sports/chicago-bulls-free-agency-andre-140200636.html

That's why Hali getting an All-NBA nod actually made him a lot of money but cost the Pacers a whole lot of money and precious cap space to improve the team. TBH, it makes no sense these contracts handed out these days.

    Kings after Ingram

I actually like John Collins and wanted the Kings to trade for him last summer when he was still on Atlanta. He should be cheaper than Markarren, but I don't like the way Ainge does business.
