My loss? No. My name isn't Kornheiser, and I don't have a dog. I don't actually like animals. I'm just being sympathetic to my favorite media personality, Tony Kornheiser:
He's been on the the air, locally, since 1992, and he's been a national entity since, roughly, 1999, I think. One of the reasons why he's my favorite media personality is because I genuinely don't really like sports all that much, aside from basketball. And, although his show is, technically, considered a sports talk radio program, unlike local meatheads, blowhards like Gnome, or other blathering numbskulls like Nit and Wit or Cowturd on ESPN, Kornheiser doesn't really talk about sports all that much and, when he does, he talks about them from the perspective of someone for whom sports is not the most important thing in his life. He rarely discusses games, and he never has athletes on his show. Despite the subtext of a sports show, it's ostensibly a show to talk about current events and pop culture, which is much more interesting to me than actual sports talk.
Anyway, he's been saying for years that the show is about him and his dog. And now, the dog's dead.
