Yeah, I fell out of a tree and broke a rib once. I was about 7 years old so I didn't care, I just went right back out in the yard and landed awkwardly (very comically/painfully) on the pointy brake of my roller blades the day after the doc said not to do anything.

So, after 2 doctor visits in 2 days my mom decided to buy a Nintendo to keep me in my room for a while. HEY! Maybe someone could buy you a Wii! Consolation prize!

I had never heard of the story and, after doing a bit of googling and binging, I'm now intrigued. I haven't been able to find it online for you but I have a friend who owns a used book store and I'm calling her in the morning to keep an eye out for a couple of the collections that have it in them...

I mean I went home to get some sleep before I have to go back in to work in five hours, and I found that the lights were finally back on.

Based on my flickering alarm clocks, they've been back on since 21:47. Which annoys me because 1) that means that the power was out for approximately thirty-two hours, and 2) if they came on at 21:47, that means I could have watched the game in the comfort of my own home.

But, what are you going to do, right? No use locking the barn after the horse is stolen; at least it's on now.

OW! Been there with the ribs thing. That really hurts. Get better soon, 6th! :)

You're right. It really hurts. Now, if I just didn't have to breathe so often, I know it could heal faster. :p

Loyal Kings fan that I am, the pain has not kept me from my games. I just need help getting in and out of the car. :(

Today is the first day that I have felt better in over 9 days. I had bronchitis and an ear infection which was causing me to lose my balance. Thank goodness the antibiotics finally kicked in.

Can we make a separate forum for all the Draft threads?
Why? They're most prevalent during TDOS anyway. When the two remaining drafts are over - which won't be much longer - they'll drop off until next TDOS. And since this is the Lounge, where people come to see what random things are going on, I think it's the perfect location for them. It gives them exposure for people who may not have known what they are and a chance to draw new blood into the fun for succeeding drafts.

argh. fine. I miss the days when we would talk about cars and other things though. Maybe I'm just bitter because I've never gotten into it.

I'm surprised you haven't jumped in yet. It's actually a pretty interesting dynamic with which to gauge whether or not your opinions of your fellow posters is backed up by their tastes in things like movies, TV shows, CARS (which was a draft I had last year that was a lot of fun), etc.

It's sure better than the endless discussion of video game-type trades, IMHO.

:p

Miss. toddler, 2, helps mom give birth to brother

The Associated Press

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — A 2-year-old in north Mississippi has done something few toddlers can: He helped his mother give birth to his brother. Bobbye Favazza told The Commercial Appeal she went into labor this past Friday and gave birth on the family's living room couch in Olive Branch. She said her toddler, Jeremiha Taylor, got her a towel and caught the baby before firefighters arrived to cut the umbilical cord.

Conan O'Brien had Heidi Montag and her scum bag boyfriend on his show tonight. It was the first time the guest were booed in the opening introductions of the show, and they deserved it.

These people are at the bottom of the totem pole, Paris Hilton is the top of. It was the most awkward interview I've ever seen. With the dbag boyfriend pumping up his ego saying he is going to legally change his name to king and Conan just looking at him like he is stupid and this was a bad idea of having them as guest. The audience just booed the entire time and laughed at their stupid these people are.

-- and in the ending of the show when Conan and the celebrities mingle, they were iced out by. Hilarious stuff.

Good that they were booed, I can't stand those two!

Upper left of my box-post thingy.

Did you see it?

Makes me feel kinda special. A little hard to do though, times are tough. Hope you guys know how much I appreciate this board.

Edit: any suggestions for my title?

"No longer a freeloader."

"No longer a moocher" is an acceptable variant. And, that way, you could also choose an avatar of Cab Calloway, who was awesome, pretty much ninety-nine percent of the time.
