Kings Fan’s TV Show Draft! - Round 20

Wow...still shocked at the drubbing my list has taken thus far...life goes on:

PLANET EARTH - 2006

A project that took 40 camera teams shooting at over 200 different locations all over the world for more than five years, Planet Earth is probably the greatest achievement in nature cinematography in history. It is simply incredible...my students beg me to show it, even when they've seen every episode several times. Sigourney Weaver was a great narrator, but being a science geek, I prefer Attenborough on the UK version. My personal favorite is the cave episode...but it's hard to pick just one. I love them all.

Ohhh, the agony, I'm feeling ill from indecision. I know I need variety, but...

I'm gonna just let Doctor House try to figure out this mystery indecision illness and snatch up something in another vein later:

Coming this summer to RTV:
HOUSE M.D. (better known simply as "House"). 2004 - current

Doctor House is arguably the most compelling character to grace our T.V. screens in the past decade. Watching Hugh Laurie in his depiction of a vicodin addicted misanthropic doctor [/cough] @**hole! [/cough] is probably akin to being able to watch Michaelangelo paint the Sistine chapel. This show has racked up 30 assorted awards (including 2 golden globes), and is only into it's sixth season. This is my favorite show of all time, and I felt like taking a gamble on another show again would have been blasphemy.

Ok, I already said this was a great pick... but the more I think about it, I am totally jealous this isn't apart of my list.
Yeah, that pick is pure genius, I was jealous as well. And I thought I could get Sports Center later. I Thought I was the only one who noticed it wouldn't be a part of our on demand packages.

The Wire 2002-2008

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0306414/

The best drama series ever made, yet it went unappreciated during its run. Much of the reason was its extreme dark and complex storyline that connected the cops, the drugs hustlers, the media and politicians. What is more astonishing was that throughout 5 seasons, every scene was of importance, none of that filler crap.

Taking this one a bit earlier than may be necessary, but I would really hate to lose it.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - FX (2005-Present)
-- Crude, completely un-PC, and easily one of the funniest things I've ever seen on television. In four seasons, I have yet to watch an episode that didn't at least once make me laugh until I cried. And, as with my first pick, I'm at the point of literally checking off the days until the new season begins. How I'll make it to September 17th I just don't know, especially with a promo like this to whet my appetite.

Vote for me or Night Man will get you with his cat eyes and karate moves.

The Wire 2002-2008
****! The only show left on my list that I felt desperate for. Really, really great. Only reason why I didn't pick it was that I lost a bit of interest in it, after the end of the third season. I never really could get into Carcetti and whole politics stufff and the same goes for the kids. Also I didn't really like the trifecta of Marlo, Chris and Snoop as villains, they were far too evil for me, at least the Barksdale crew had a relatable side to them. And I really couldn't watch anymore when
they killed Boadie
and the writers completely lost track of what they wanted to do with Kima (haven't completely watched the last season yet, so this might have changed then).

But these are just some personal grudges that made me pick Six Feet Under first. Objectively, The Wire's writing, acting, suspense and just its scope are on par, if not superior to SFU. Just an insanely good show.

BTW, the crowning moment of awesome in this series:

Thanks VF!

Since my favorite Monday night Hero is already gone (gee thanks VF!) I have decided to go with my second favorite "Hiro" since I don't want to chance losing it!!! There is nothing that I don't love about this show and I can not wait for the new season to start.

HEROES (2006-Present)

Im at the point where I dont know what to do with my picks. I have shows that I really really want but I think they'll still be around later. So I guess with this pick Im going Safe - I think If I dont take it now someone else will soon, so without further ado - With my second pick I select Family Guy

This show is quickly becoming a classic. Its so rediculous .... Just over the top comedy, its great. Family Guy and The Office on one Island? At least everyone will be in a good mood:D
