So, now that Bricklayer has added a few more rounds, I feel the need to add a writer/producer. Elijah Wood haggled me for days, until I finally came around to this choice. He will add style and substance to the project, adding his artistic expertise and stunning, original film making visuals. Working alongside Robert Zemeckis, these two will create a visual world the likes of which has never been seen on film. They will blend technological innovation with artistic vision, culminating in a truly breathtaking cinematic experience. With my 7th choice, I select:

Sorry all, cross-country moves (in addition to a vacation in Patagonia with 63 middle schoolers) leaves one a little tired. I am back on, and will work on keeping up with the times. My next pick:

I needed a versatile actor who can be anything from The Penguin, to Rocky's trainer, to, well, you'll see... All I will say is that both he and Charles Bronson tried out for the part.

He's already proven to be able to do both these roles (see 300/Sin City). Writing and producing isn't nearly as intensive a job title as directing. I'm only taking one person here, so I don't see why there is a conflict...
Edit: Since we are adding more rules here by adding 4 additional rounds mid-stream (and the no director can act rule isn't in the rules heading anyway), whose to say that the director cannot also be an actor, or at least have a cameo? I bet Tarantino would like to have a role in his western, and Mel Brooks is chomping at the bit to sing in his musical!

No, no director actors for this practical reason: once somebody selects somebody as an actor or director, they go off the board. Nobody else can take them. So if you allowed actor/directors then somebody could just take Clint Eastwood the Director in rnd 1, and have him in the pocket as a free nobody else can take him actor to be thrown in at the end.

Unless there's something I missed, adding the four rounds didn't change the rules in any significant way.
Brick did rule out the possibility of having someone pull double duty on a movie when the question was raised earlier, even though it may not have been subsequently added to the first post. Seems way too late in the game to change that, though. I don't know about anyone else, but it would have drastically altered my strategy to this point. I passed people up in the early rounds that are no longer available.

But if you select the director, why is he incapable of acting in the movie he is directing? It has happened a lot in the history of movies, often to great effect. Look at Tarantino, Mel Brooks, Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves), Mel in Braveheart, etc. I can see if other people want to use your director as an actor in their movie, that he would be off limits, but if he's already on your set anyway, why can't he act in the scene (especially in a limited role)?
That's precisely the problem -- nobody else can use him, so you are getting a free unchallenged actor out of it. If you have to use a separate pick on him as an actor, that still means that you have basically reserved him as an actor that only you can use and that you get to pick up automatically for free in the final round. And if you don't have to use a pick on him at all, then you just flat out get an extra actor over everybody else, which is not fair either. So simple solution -- no double dipping.
For my seventh selection, I am going to grab an actor I desperately want in my film, even if he will be playing a more minor role. He's one of the few actors (perhaps the only one) to have played both Jesus and The Devil (though not in the same film!) I introduce you to supporting actor Max von Sydow!

Considered him for a minor role myself, but seemed too evil for my comedy.
